I will probably download 10 to all my computers later when I have enough time to make sure I have it down as to how to avoid this massive downloading of ad and spy-ware that is also included.

I did my laptop a week or so ago while I was in the hospital after a heart attack. I had a minor network connectivity issue, because they send you to an ‘agree to terms’ page before you hit the net. No issues beyond that.

Consider carefully "up"grading to Win 10

It's not that much faster than 7, (if at all).

Ya lose several valuable Free apps, which you will be allowed to buy, and you will be spied upon and solicited without end.

Step one: Don’t install anything from Google, especially Chrome. :)

I've already been accused of being a LINUX slut..so I would suggest something OTHER then win-BLOWS 10 upgrade..just buy new.

Upgrading to 10 is like buying a 2016 car and then putting it's guts into a 2012 model. It MAY work..but overall..not as good as the new one.

Instructions from PCWorld on how to get the ISO.

You do have to download via the Microsoft media creation tool.

Ah so, ...

This should be the exact page you need:

Download Windows 10 ISO

With instructions, you can select 32 or 64 Bit downpage.

FYI You can install 10 without a COA or product code for about 30 days by selecting recommended settings and “do this later” on product code prompt each time the product code prompt pops up, then you can “activate later” when you have ironed out all the bugs, you just can’t customize the background screen until you activate.

^^^^^ This! ^^^^^

I've had to help family and friends revert back to Windows 7 when they did not like Windows 10 at all. At least they have 30 days to switch back if they do not like it. Personally, I'd stick with Windows 7 till support runs out, as it is one of the best operating systems Microsoft has come up with, IMO.

Disclaimer: I prefer Linux operating systems (Ubuntu, Zorin, Mint) but when I use Microsoft Windows operating systems, I prefer Windows 7. Microsoft got that one right and really no reason to upgrade unless you have to, IMO.
