eli Manning is Wearing No Pink (Sunday Night Football Vanity)
Sunday Night Football | 10/11/2015 | Me

Posted on 10/11/2015 6:59:24 PM PDT by ponygirl

I've become so used to seeing NFL teams looking like they vomited Pepto Bismol all over the field that I was somewhat surprised to see so little Breast Cancer pinkness on Sunday Night Football. Then I realized that, aside from the stickers on helmet and badges on his jersey, NY Giants QB is wearing NO additional pink merchandise. I thought the players were required to wear something (in previous years it was ONE item minimum) and this year it seems like the requirement has been three or more items. Can someone explain how Manning gets away without wearing pink wristbands, towel, socks, shoes, elbow wraps, mouth guard, face mask clips, etc. etc. etc.??

I mean, I know Eli thinks he's pretty special, but what gives...?

It’s now referred to as “The Annual Skinning of the Pink Panther”

I’m waiting for the day they put our military in pink camo.

Well okay ponygirl. I was thinking that since we all know the shape of Der Sleek’s, that it’s possible that you or other Freepers knew of the assets or lack thereof of some QBs. LOL

Do players in the WNBA support fighting cancers generally associated with males?

I like and watch pro football—and I think the whole thing looks and is ridiculous.

I’m also sure that wearing pink—or any other color for that matter ever did anything to cure any disease.

We all know that breast cancer is a terrible thing to have-—and I should think most of us are aware of how awful it is. The silly pink stuff is just that—silly.

I do not wear any colors for any disease...not pink, not blue...nothing....we are such a silly shallow society...

I also refuse to buy any products that feature pink.....I am female but it just irritates me to no end because it is so meaningless.....they throw pink on a product just to sell their high priced crap to begin with....

imagine we'll be seeing rainbow colors pretty soon...imagine some of those football guys doing that.

Don’t you just hate that Nationwide commercial where Peyton keeps humming that annoying tune over and over? Scream!

The martial arts school that I’m considering has actually set aside a day in which every student and instructor who wants to can wear a pink belt. That’s rather unusual, IMO, coming from an institution as disciplined as a martial arts school.

Eli doesn’t need a cup.

Hey ponygirl, you've checked? Or you just wish you could?

And btw, pink for what? Breast cancer? Think iodine instead...if a woman had enough iodine in her system, she would not get breast cancer. Maybe it's time for some prevention.

Same for a man, if enough iodine, he would not get prostate cancer.

I salute those who ignore this Pink thingy. I deal with people who have cancer, or have had cancer and cancer can be cured. Not so much though by the slash, poison, burn treatments of allopathic medicine, though.

ERMAGERD YESSS!!! I can't stand his nasal stuffiness anyway and that song is the worst. You just know that Peyton leaves a puddle of drool all over his pillow at night.

But you know which commercials are really bugging me this year? The car commercials with Matthew McConnaughey, which are just creepy. Blecchhhh!

The money they spend on all the tiresome pink stuff could go to breast cancer research.

“Someone please explain!”

REAL MEN don’t wear pink. Girls do. Sad how sissified the NFL has become.

The pink crap goes all month. Maybe the players get one bye week on the pink.

Why not, men are expected to support women’s breast cancer wherever! All cancer is terrible for those afflicted and their families, but there is a disproportionate emphasis on breast cancer, I guess because they’re always right in front of us.

Where was all the blue in September for prostate cancer awareness? 1 in 6 men will get prostate cancer.

I don’t do this either for similar reasons. My cause may not be your cause - I will never impose my cause on you no matter how innocuous it may appear at first. Silly and shallow... I agree.

Yeah yeah, my bad, at least tonight I can blame it on meds, tomorrow it’ll just be the old I’m an A-hole explanation.

Not to change the subject, but Kapernick actually has a pulse tonight.
