eli Manning is Wearing No Pink (Sunday Night Football Vanity)
Sunday Night Football

I've become so used to seeing NFL teams looking like they vomited Pepto Bismol all over the field that I was somewhat surprised to see so little Breast Cancer pinkness on Sunday Night Football. Then I realized that, aside from the stickers on helmet and badges on his jersey, NY Giants QB is wearing NO additional pink merchandise. I thought the players were required to wear something (in previous years it was ONE item minimum) and this year it seems like the requirement has been three or more items. Can someone explain how Manning gets away without wearing pink wristbands, towel, socks, shoes, elbow wraps, mouth guard, face mask clips, etc. etc. etc.??
I mean, I know Eli thinks he's pretty special, but what gives...?

Maybe check his cup? Or do you mean please explain the emphasis on breast cancer over say prostate or testicular?

As a BC survivor, I say good for him. I am sick of all this escalated pink nonsense. Plenty of people of both sexes suffer from horrible cancer of all kinds, many way worse than me. Enough already with the PINK... and every other “so-called cause de celebre.”

Eli doesn’t need a cup. At least that’s what I’ve heard.

They look less like thugs wearing all that pink!
Watched a little of the cowboys get their 1 gallon hat handed to them today by a bunch of PINKOS! How fitting.
At least the ‘STROES pulled it off with great help from the ‘bearded one’.

The pink stuff has been really obnoxious this year. Seriously, if they want more female fans, just have the players do post game interviews shirtless.
Glad to hear you're on the mend!

My wife, literally the-girl-next-door, lost her battle with breast cancer at 28.
There is so much empty symbolism for these causes that it cheapens and weakens the efforts to combat the diseases.
Kudos to you, Sioux-san for overcoming your challenge - God bless!

I think all football teams should wear some uniform color to represent the fight against Hodgkin’s disease, which I survived in the 1980s. It’s only fair. Boobses should not get all the attention.

    I agree.
It has become the politically correct disease - like aids use to be.
They say the pink raises awareness about breast cancer. But who hasn’t heard of breast cancer??
