"NexDef" HeadAche and OS X Yosemite Upgrade to OS X 10.11 El Capitan

After about a day and a half, trying to stop a "NexDef requires Java SE6 Runtime" notice hoping up every 10 Seconds, and Java JRE-8u60 download not completing (but saying and verifying as completed), I finally got rid of the problem.

FIRST: I HIGHLY RECOMMEND BEFORE YOU UPGRADE FROM OS X YOSEMITE, to El Capitan, you follow the instructions I found at the bottom of Page 1 of this link .
But I stopped at step 6 and did NOT do Steps 7, or Step 8.
Here are those directions, which state:

They have a fix for it now and it's pretty quick:

1. I am unable to install or enable NexDef on my Mac running OSX 10.7 or 10.8.
What can I do to successfully install NexDef?

A. Go to the Applications folder, then the Utilities folder, open the Terminal application and enter the following command:
ls -ltr ~/Library/Application\ Support


2. If the listing that comes up shows something similar to the following line then continue with these instructions to manually uninstall NexDef:
drwx------ 7 root wheel 238 Aug 11 2011 NexDef

3. Enter the following command in Terminal to being up the NexDef folder in Finder:
open ~/Library/Application\ Support

4. Delete the NexDef folder.
5. Enter the following command in Terminal:
launchctl unload -S Aqua ~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.mlbam.nexdef.plist

6. Open System Preferences and select Security & Privacy.
In the General tab under "Allow Applications Downloaded From" select "Anywhere"
7. Download and install NexDef
8. NexDef should now be installed and running properly.
If you would like, you can return to the Security & Privacy settings from step six and change the selection from "Anywhere"
back to your original setting.

I hope you don't have to spend the "day and a half" trying to solve this issue, like I did.
I chatted with Apple support and they are going to send me instructions on

how to erase 'El Capitan'
and reload a "CLEAN" Copy of it.
AFTER I do a BACKUP of my files and Hard Drive.

I downloaded El Capitan and then ran MacKeeper and it came up “Serious” junk and could not “fix” it.

I then contacted MacKeeper and they said wait one week till they get can fix their software.

What security needed cleaning? It’s solid Unix, unless you’re deliberately screwing up security settings, it doesn’t need “cleaning”.

Whatever problems you have do *not* use MacKeeper. It will only create new ones.

Well, I assume you aren’t because if you’re smart enough to make those changes you’re smart enough not to.

So why run MacKeeper?

I'm pretty certain "MacKeeper" is considered serious malware.

Pinging Swordmaker for an opinion and perhaps a ping to the Apple list for the thread.

No one needs MacKeeper. It is a scam. UNIX takes care of everything on its own. The MacOS is the most solid and awesome Unix I’ve ever used as a mainstream OS, and it does just as well with any server project you want to throw at it. If you don’t have what you want - download, make, install, go.

The publishers of MacKeeper were just required by a class action lawsuit to pay millions of dollars to customers who they persuaded to install their malware on their computers. It is not what it purports to be. It is indeed malware and not anything your Mac does not already do itself and in fact turns off many of the system housekeeping utilities that UNIX uses to keep your Mac safe and clean in operation. They do not understand how UNIX runs and are a scam operation, using scareware to sell their malware to unsuspecting Mac users who were once Windows users, used to having to run multiple such third-party utilities to keep their Windows machines operational.

Get it off your Mac and keep it off. . .
