At a press event in San Francisco on Tuesday, Google Inc. showed off a new lineup of holiday-season products that included two new smartphones with advanced cameras, a tablet called the Pixel C and a redesigned streaming device for the living room that can also be used to play games.
Dave Burke, a vice president of Android Engineering, unveiled the 6P smartphone, which sports a 5.7-inch AMOLED display, 64-bit processing, 3,500mAh battery, USB-C connector, 12.3-megapixel camera on the back, 8-megapixel front-facing camera and fingerprint sensor. It runs the new Android 6.0 operating system, called "Marshmallow."
Another new phone, the 5X, is made by LG and has a 5.2-inch display, 2,700Ah battery, 64-bit processor, USB-C, fingerprint sensor and comes in three colors Carbon Black, Sports White and Ice Blue.
The camera on the 5X can capture 120 frames per second and the 6P can capture 240 frames per second, which al lows for super slow-motion videos. Both can also capture video in 4K resolution. A "smart burst" feature captures video in just 30 frames per second for easily capturing GIFs.
To make launching the camera easier, a user simply needs to tap the power button twice.
Both phones will ship in late October. The 5X starts at $379 and the 6P starts at $499. Customers who pre-order the phones will receive a $50 credit on Google Play.
At the event, Google also showed off a new tablet called the Pixel C, a 10.2-inch tablet that runs Android and has a detachable keyboard that connects via Bluetooth. Interestingly, the small battery in the keyboard recharges inductively when it is placed alongside the tablet. The Pixel C also uses a USB-C connector (which is currently in use on Apple's latest Macbook); it has a screen resolution of 2560x1800, 3GB of RAM and an Nvidia X1 processor. The Pixel C will cost $499, and its keyboard will run another $149. Google said only that it will be available "in time for the holidays." Lastly, Google showed off newly designed hardware and features for Chromecast, the company's streaming and apps device for the living room. Chromecast is now puck-shaped and has a short, built-in HDMI cable so it can be used on TVs with crowded ports. It also now supports 5GHz Wi-Fi.
Among the new features, Chromecast can integrate with an Android phone. For example, while watching NFL Sunday Ticket on Chromecast, a user can browse stats and data on his or her phone. As for content on Chromecast, Google said Showtime, SlingTV and several professional sports leagues will soon be available. Google also touted Chromecast's gaming capabilities, in which an Android phone is used as the game controller but the video is displayed on a TV.
The new Chromecast is available today for $35.

Better and Cheaper than Apple, no closed environment and has the plus of not supporting a sodomite CEO who aggressively pushing the sodomite agenda!
