Wow....North Hudson. That likely means NYC was the destiny.
The story at the link is vague, the best I can make out these checkpoints are random and temporary kind of like a holiday weekend check points for drunk drivers, not sure if that is true but if they get 17 in one fell swoop imagine how many are getting through.
A spokeswoman for the U.S. Border Patrol says Friday that the mandatory checkpoint operated for five days on I-87 near North Hudson, 80 miles from the Canadian border. Motorists stopped at the checkpoint last weekend were asked to identify their citizenship.
Oh No , they caught some Canadians that entered the US to buy Gas
The AP was a hint to show the northern border with those vicious and dangerous canadian side are more terrifying than the illegals on the southern side
One of my buddies was doing some historical research on the NY/Canadian border (45th parallel) looking for monuments. Well, he found one and started photographing it....and like a flock of vultures pursuing dead game, border guards surrounded him. He said it was quite an experience.
Any checkpoints not on the immediate border are patently illegal and violate the 4th Amendment.
North Hudson is nowhere near the border. It’s near Ticonderoga, about 80 miles from the border.
