Bye-Bye Boo-Hoo Blubberman! (A musical celebration of Boehner's departure) [vanity]
Posted on 09/25/2015 8:21:14 PM PDT by Heart-Rest

He accomplished nothing good during his tenure as "Speaker of the House", but he sure bawled enough times, like a little baby badly in need a diaper change!
It seems like a good time to make a musical celebration of this happy occasion of his leaving office. Here are some teary tunes for the crybaby. (Maybe you can add other "crying" songs to the list.)

A lot of these songs I know by heart but I did use The Billboard Book of Top 40 Hits, Joel Whitburn, for the long list, (1955-2000). I'm a Joel Whitburn fan and own several of his books.

As Tears Go By was a hit for Marianne Faithful in Britain in the summer of 1964 and scored in the US in the fall of that year. It's one of the first rock and roll songs to feature an oboe.

Wow, that's quite a list. A few of those songs were linked further up on the thread already (as you noted), and here are some links I found for some of the others, although I'm not sure if these are exactly the ones you meant:

They probably want us to apply “common core” math, and floating relativistic ficti-facts to that “clock”, then that should make it all better...

That's a unique and interesting sound.
(Those haircuts they're getting there are unique and interesting too -- except in the monastery!)

I didn't know that. (That is a good version of that song.)
I started looking around in youtube at oboe music, and found this blues/jazz kind of song which includes an oboe, and I guess the song title could be stretched to apply to "salty tears", to fit into this thread theme.
"Salt Water Blues" - Yusef Lateef

Are you referring to “Country Joe & The Fish” from Woodstock?
