Blast from the past! I always found that video disturbing when I was a kid; turns out I still do. Now it reminds me of a commercial for Pseudo Bulbar Affect Disorder or some such condition. *Also disturbing*

Regarding a couple of the songs you've posted here, I've heard other artists who covered them later (such as Elvis & Ray Charles), and some I've heard a different song with the same title (like this song - "Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying"), but most of them are new to me, and it is great to encounter them.

A lot of these songs I know by heart but I did use “The Billboard Book of Top 40 Hits”, Joel Whitburn, for the long list, (1955-2000).
Unfortunately I can’t find my other Record Book that also went by year and had a list by title. More like the top 20 hits. It is supposed to be next to my desk but books on the KGB, the American Left, and autographed astronaut books have taken over my bookscase.
One day I’ll find it.
