“Crying in the Rain” - Everly Brothers 1962
“Crying Time” - Ray Charles - 1966 - took my daughter to see him (wanted her to hear one of the greats of R&R)

Specifically For Boehner — “I Go To Pieces” - Peter & Gordon
“Ain’t It a Shame” - Fats “THe Fat Man” Domino - 1955 (Saw him with Jerry Lee Lewis. One great show!)
“Sad Mood” - Sam Cook - 1960 and lastly,
“WIPEOUT” - Safaris - 1963

A lot of these songs I know by heart but I did use “The Billboard Book of Top 40 Hits”, Joel Whitburn, for the long list, (1955-2000).

Unfortunately I can’t find my other Record Book that also went by year and had a list by title. More like the top 20 hits. It is supposed to be next to my desk but books on the KGB, the American Left, and autographed astronaut books have taken over my bookscase.

One day I’ll find it.

Meanwhile enjoy Rock & Roll at Boehner’s expense.

I'm a Joel Whitburn fan and own several of his books.

Wow, that's quite a list.   A few of those songs were linked further up on the thread already (as you noted), and here are some links I found for some of the others, although I'm not sure if these are exactly the ones you meant:
