The lazy lumps who won’t get out of bed and go to work made out. They don’t care that someone else broke his back to finance that freebie.

They may have free or low cost premiums but they have a $6K deductible. Or am I wrong?

I think it depends on what type of policy you qualify for. Some may not have deductibles or copays, but there may be certain restrictions such as the insurance can only be used with certain doctors and/or certain hospitals. And God help you if you have a catastrophic or chronic illness, or sustain a serious debilitating injury. It might not cover specialized treatment or rehabilitation.

True story: An unemployed Obama worshiper friend was all ga-ga when she landed some cheap insurance via the Obamacare website. Cost around $80 a month, thanks to subsidies.

But then she sustained an injury to her leg, and the doctor ordered physical therapy. After the therapy was completed, she received a bill. $1,200. Seems she didn't realize her insurance came with a deductible.

Of course, being an Obama worshiper, she blamed those evil, rich, greedy insurance companies.

If a person or household falls between 138% - 250% they get additional cost sharing subsidies that lower copays and deductibles. They have to buy the correct silver plan on an exchange in order to get it. If they buy the wrong plan like a bronze plan, they don't get the additional cost sharing.
