Swordmaker’s story = minor bugs
Real story = a patch so soon? How did this miss this crap in QA? It’s not like they don’t control the OS *and* the hardware. Sheesh. Embarrassing.
I think when you roll out an update to a hundred million phones in multiple countries, multiple models and all kinds of configurations, some things become evident that were not before.
I appreciate that they are on it so fast.
Come on. Do you know ANYTHING about how software releases are done? You fix bugs down to a certain level of severity and then you release it, and patch the smaller ones ASAP.
This is standard OP in any software company. If they waited until "all the bugs are gone" they'd never release it.
Because until you get software out into the hands of now 250,000,000 plus users (iOS 9 topped 50% of users sometime yesterday), you cannot find how it work with every kind of combination of apps and set up. It just isn't possible. Trust YOU to think glass is half-empty, bolobaby. They are minor issues affecting a very small number of users.
#1 Required the user to restart the iPhone.
#2 Required putting the clock app and restarting the app.
#3 I tried playing a video and paused it thirty times by count and the frame was always crisp and clear. So, not problem here.
#4 How many people have a custom APN setup via a profile? The only way to test for that is to get it into the field.
It took one week for Apple to get the reports of what needed fixing for these VERY MINOR ISSUES, fix them, and push out an update, and YOU, who do not even use iOS are throwing brickbats?
