Cruz got punked by Colbert. He should have responded to the Reagan amnesty by saying it was a total mistake. It was supposed to be a one-time amnesty never to happen again by its supporters. The USG estimated 1 million would apply, but the true number turned out to be 2.7 million. We now have 12 to 30 million illegal aliens, yet the left wants another amnesty. When you reward something, you get more of it.
I saw it totally differently. The hateful hostility of lil' Steffy just bounced off SuperCruz. At the conclusion of the second segment, Colbert was on the mat, gasping and seemed awed that he had been incapacitated by a true Texas Conservative.
Did you watch the TV or the videos? I thought Cruz was great and did not get punked by that silly ass Colbert at all unless you read the stories on Yahoo and other liberal sites.
Cruz let him finish his nasty little rant about how bad Reagan was and then came on with facts explaining how Reagan turned the economy and the employment situation totally around.
Cruz got in some excellent points about not letting 5 unelected lawyers make the law for all America and I think he actually got some applause from the audience for that.
His stance is not homophobic but logical a point lost on a lot of libs. I was proud of his performance.
Trump will probably do better because he won’t bother to be polite.
Reagan himself said amnesty was a mistake.
The democrats promised to secure the border in return, but of course they never did. They lied.
