That was basically the attitude of Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie after the Giants cornerback learned the NFL had admitted it erred on two key calls in the season-opening 27-26 loss to the Cowboys blown calls that certainly could have changed the outcome of the game.
Thats just one you have to live with, Rodgers-Cromartie said. That was a tough one.
A third-quarter pass-interference call on Rodgers-Cromartie, who was shadowing receiver Terrence Williams on a third-and-4 play, handed the Cowboys 16 gift yards and a first down. That directly led to a Dallas touchdown. It should not have been a penalty, the league conceded to the Giants.

Because it’s short sighted. Sure you’re primary opponent at that point is the clock, but adding a TD helps you beat the clock just as much if not more than a run for no yards, especially when the other team is sitting on time-outs (which Eli admits he miscounted) and can stop the clock, which they did. Eating clock is nice, but when there’s points to get get the points.
So far this season judging by the games Ive watched the refs are equally as bad, if not worse, than last year.
That's what I think too...
Well Peyton got one to tie it, the Chiefs then called one of the dumbest plays every NFL coach uses on a regular basis (the short time draw “see if he gains some yards if not let it run out” which never gains yards because everybody uses it so everybody knows it’s coming so you’re really just volunteering your RB to get tackled for no good reason) and fumbled and the Broncs D scooped and scored. With 3 red zone turnovers though the Chiefs had the ability to be up at least 16 (possibly 28) with two minutes left instead of 7 and the Chiefs kneel to victory, which is why if you can get points get points.
Tell that to Marino, Anderson, Cunningham, Esiason, McNabb, etc. Do you really think QBs like Dilfer and Hosteler were better than them?
Blown calls happen every game. It’s part of life. Which is why Bill Cowher said good teams don’t put themselves in a position for one blown call to cost them the game. If Jennings gets the TD the play the refs blew never happens. If they call another run for no yards clock runs to the point where Dallas can’t score and it doesn’t matter. If Eli takes the sack the clock runs down and the no-call doesn’t matter. Play smart and the fact that the refs are human doesn’t matter.
Don’t you think most of those players would trade half their stats for a ring? You play to win the game and championships. Sure all those guys were better than Dilfer, but Dilfer’s got a ring. He’s probably a lot more satisfied with how his career turned out than they are.

History remembers winners.
Manning thought Dallas had 1 t.o. And I believe they had 2. That was biggest mistake. He should have run on 1st 3 downs and if they failed to score then kick the fg. Passing was dumb.
They must have Pete Carroll’s book on how to coach NFL Football.
Well said, Vince... well said
