Does Anyone Know Why The Move To Oust Boehner and McConnell Is Failing?
Septmber 17, 2015

Posted on 09/17/2015 5:20:35 PM PDT by Steelfish

We have all had it with Boehner and McConnell. This is the axis of the Washington Cartel that protects their leadership positions, pomp, prestige, and power. Ted Cruz and Carly Fiorina have demanded that Planned Parenthood be defunded as part of the Budget Appropriations Bill. Should not we the grassroots demand that serious contenders for the Republican nomination do the same? To borrow the old saying, if they don't see the light, should we not make them feel the heat? We need to throw out these two rascals who are doing the bidding of "Club for Growth," "American Prosperity," and the rest of the donor class.

If there are other ideas out there to rid these bums from office for betraying the mandate of those who got them re-elected, let's hear them. But it's past time for a little Jeffersonian revolt.

Because the GOPee is worthless! Many still need primaries. Is Boehner getting primaries? If so would be great to see freepers send cash to the person who will.

And of course, having someone like Boner as "king" just shows how pathetic the GOP truly is.

“Because there are too many Boner and McConnell clones in the Republican House.”

The leaders of a party in Congress know which representatives are taking bribes, which representatives are cheating on their wives or husbands, which representatives have drug and alcohol problems, which representatives have severe financial problems, etc. It isn’t just the FBI, NSA, and IRS who have the dirt. In addition Boehner and McConnell have the ability to dispense favors - campaign cash, projects in the home district, committee and subcommittee chairmanships. Finally, the big donors to the party and individual Congressmen don’t want a leadership fight. Most representatives are corrupt and vulnerable to extortion. They fear what the Speaker and the Majority leader know and will reveal if they don’t stay in line.

I agree, totally.

I’ve thought for a long time that certain ones have been threatened and that includes their families. They are told that it’s okay to make noises but not to cross the line.

As usual they cannot see the forest for the trees. The longer they leave him in there, the more catastrophic the GOPe demise will be.

I would rather believe they are being black mailed for acting evil in an incident, than believe they are just plain evil souls like the Demonrats.

????? Lesser than what? he only way to move is up if they go.
Scenario (repeated in one form or another all across the fruited plain):
  1. Conservatives mount a vigorous campaign to nominate a candidate to run against Boehner
  2. The GOPe pull out all the stops to quash the conservative candidate and kill his chances; Boehner wins the primary
  3. The election draws near. GOPe operatives scour the voting public (and FreeRepublic), shouting "You're not voting???" OR "You're voting 3rd Party???" OR "You're voting for the Dem???"; then comes the argument: "Sure, Boehner's a bum, but you have to vote for him! He's the lesser evil!"
  4. Boehner wins again
