A Vikings fan was attacked by a pack of 49ers fans outside Levis Stadium Monday night.
Video posted on Facebook shows the attack after San Franciscos 20-3 win over Minnesota. A man in an Adrian Peterson jersey is repeatedly kicked and punched in the face while trying to get up off the pavement while a handful of 49ers fans surround him. One event security staffer, in a yellow coat, runs in to break up the fight but some of the 49ers fans still get a few more shots in on the Vikings fan before more help arrives.

I can only speak to stories I heard from fellow Panther fans, and articles in the Charlotte Observer from the year we went to the Super Bowl.
We had a fan injured enough to need transport to a hospital, and others were pelted with bottles, food, etc.
When opposing team fans come to Charlotte, they might get some ribbing, but they don’t fear for their lives.
That’s been the only reports of such I’ve ever heard from Panther Fans going to any city.
I’m sure some of that happens in other places.
You couldn’t pay me to wear a Yankees Jersey (ever) to a Red Sox game!
If the race of the guy on the ground and the guys who put him there were reversed, it would be called a hate crime.
IIRC, the Santa incident was a long time ago. The last home game I attended was this past season and the crowd was like I always remember them: Drunk, profane, looking for a fight, attacking anyone so stupid as to wear gear from the opposing team, urinating in the sinks. Good times.
I don’t think it’s disinterest, as much as it is manners. We’re taught that from birth.
The Panthers have been sold out since our first season at Bank of America stadium (2nd year in the league), it’s how we built the stadium (PSL’s).
It took a few years for us to gain that intense fan following that comes from generational fans.
Funny you mention Pittsburgh. The first few years the Panthers played the Steelers there were as many yellow shirts in the stands as there were blue.
Now you might see 1000 out of 80,000.
This year for the first time, during the preseason game between the two teams, I saw Panther shirts, and Jerseys in Pittsburgh.
The best thing that could possibly happen to the 49ers is that they lose as many games as possible until the Trent Baalke/Jed York regime is gone. They are the ones who destroyed the 49ers and they are immoral creeps.
