He scares the hell out of uber lefty Chris Hayes.
In october 2007 I sat in the media gallery of the united states supreme court and watched the solicitor general of texas argue on behalf of the state that he should have the ability to put to death a mexican national, Jose Medellín, who had been convicted of raping and murdering two teenage girls in houston. He won that argument and he (Medellín) was executed by texas on august 5th , 2008 , despite the objections of the united nations and the international court of justice . at the time, I had no idea who this man arguing on behalf of texas was. but all I could think was holy crap , this guy is good. it was one of his nine times arguing before the supreme court and he was witty, incredibly fast on his feet and clearly had a brilliant legal mind. it is to this day one of the most impressive displays i have ever seen before the court and i have had the good fortune to spend a lot of time there. so you can imagine my horror in 2012 when i tuned into the texas senate race. i hadn't been paying much attention to. and realized that lieutenant governor david dewhurst , the republican establishment candidate, was being prepared by a tea party candidate who was the same guy i saw kick ass in the supreme court in 2007 . i thought that night, night i made that connection, oh, this is trouble. and trouble that man has been. trouble in every direction. as he vies to be the singular voice of the right wing grassroots and as he has very quickly assumed a leadership role in movement.
Is Ted Cruz the most dangerous man on the American right?

No, it’s not. Dallas is a crappy, Ebola-infested, expensive, fake town.

What are you going on about now? It’s called the 11th commandment. It was started by a guy you may have heard of named Ronald Reagan. Cruz has enough class to not attack other Republicans that are running against him... he saves his attacks for the establishment and the left. It would be nice if other candidates followed suit.
But that’s the thing about Trump. He has zero class, zero principles, and zero trustworthiness.

Ted Cruz has a chance to be POTUS. He has a very solid base of supporters. He does have an energetic and vocal base of supporters but he has no coalition and he's not likely to be able to build one which will make getting the nomination extremely difficult and the winning a general election pretty much impossible.

You want me to show you how tough taking Trump was about immigration in 2012?
To: RC one
No coalition? How about a little thing called the tea party. Ever heard of it? How about a little thing called the religious right?

Chicks dig me, because I rarely wear underwear and when I do it’s usually something unusual. So, yes, I am backing Cruz, too.

A few like to scream that Ted Cruz wants to increase H1b visas but that’s not true at all. The reality is that he wants to raise the cap but under his entire plan its unlikely that there would be any meaningful increase. In its entirety it calls for raising the wages of H1b visa holders and proving that there are no Americans willing and able to do the job.

Donald Trump is currently saying pretty much the same thing but doesn’t use the term “H1b Visa”.

Once agaib, the punt on first down crowd emerges. Doesn’t it occur to anyone that the GOP leadership could become so fearful of Trump that they begin to support Cruz as a more acceptable alternative?

Looks to be good for about 7%. Trump is presently over 30%. But he’s the buffoon?

If Cruz doesn't make it, I'm rooting for Trump too.
I believe that next March will give us a clearer picture of whether or not Cruz has a chance - because of Trump, I also believe that Cruz has a lot better chance than he did - most considered him too brash and conservative to have a chance and Trump's brash manners and agreeing with so much of Cruz's platform can only help. If Cruz falls out, I have no problem voting for Trump - will even change my donations top him commensurate what I'm sending to Cruz monthly.
GO CRUZ!!! Keep it up Trump!!

Sometimes you have to go war with the Army you have, not the Army you want. Cruz. Trump. Carson. It’s all good to me; however, I think Trump is going to get the nomination and I think he is going to shock the entire planet and I’m real OK with that. It’s a long ways off though so we’ll see.
