FINALLY, A REPUBLICAN STANDS UP AGAINST TRUMP
The American Spectator ^ | September 12, 2015 | Ross Kaminsky

Posted on 09/12/2015 11:12:13 AM PDT by Steelfish

FINALLY, A REPUBLICAN STANDS UP AGAINST TRUMP By Ross Kaminsky on 9.11.15 Bobby Jindal is a smart -- even brilliant -- and accomplished man who will almost certainly not be our next president. So he doesn't have much to lose by speaking from the heart.

Speaking at the National Press Club on Friday, Jindal launched the first full-fledged Republican assault on the political tumor that is Donald Trump. The video is a must-watch just to hear someone, anyone, give a lengthy description of the true nature of the current Republican front-runner.

Jindal followed the speech with a fund-raising e-mail which highlights that his speech was "about Donald Trump" and quoting some of his own speech:

"(W)e are flirting with nominating a non-serious, unstable, substance-free narcissist. Nominating Donald Trump is a certain way for us to miss our opportunity to make America Great Again. Summer is over, it's time to get serious about saving our country. It's time to send Donald Trump back to reality TV - it's time to tell Donald Trump - it's been great, you've been great for ratings, you are almost as fun as Don Rickles, the show has been a blast."

And on Twitter, Jindal keeps on pressing: "I said about @realDonaldTrump what other candidates are thinking but don't have the guts to say" and "The reason @realDonaldTrump has never read the Bible is because he’s not in it."

Good job, Bobby. Keep it up. And the rest of you Republicans, grow a pair and stand up more aggressively against the foolishness and bombast that is the Trump candidacy.

Jindal’s attacks on Trump were absolutely vapid. Jindal sounded like an idiot.

Steve Deace (at great length) and Mark Levin both took him apart.

It was Jindal’s farewell to the national stage.

That’s what it sounded like to me. A tantrum before exiting stage left.

And Jindal, has 0% support. Not sure what he is trying to accomplish, but he only made a fool of himself. No one was watching or even remotely cares so it is irrelevant, just like he is.

Jindal is throwing a Hail Mary pass, trailing in Trump’s wake in hopes of getting noticed, using nasty Trump remarks as ballast. However it will have the opposite effect. He will sink lower than his current 0 percent, if that’s possible.

gee go figure

Figure what...I don't see anyone else disassembling the DC cabal, not sure what you mean.

I stand by Trump's destruction of the elitist traitors, I'm sure you do too.

What's not to cheer?

And what the hell is a "DONALDIST"?

Nah, I don't agree.

There are those here who have their doubts about Trump, I am one too....but then again I have doubts about all of those that are in the election, including Cruz. I'm simply watching and evaluating as time goes by.

I will not however, come up with memes that would lower my criticisms of a candidate with an obnoxious, deliberately inflammatory terms, like racism or DONALDIST.

I think we can have conversations here without the Alinsky type memes liberals so like to use.

1 million dollars? That is 1/9,000th of his stated net worth (assuming he is honest when he stated his net worth at 9 billion). That is similar to guy making 50k giving $5.50. Trump is about Trump.

In ones evaluations, always ask as the Romans did: Cui Bono? Who wins?

In my mind, NO opposition to Trump has satisfactorily answered this question.

$1,000,000 dollars is just one example. He has a history of helping others.

“Trump has never done anything that didn’t profit him”

That was your original assertion. Now you’re changing the bar to “He’s only given $1,000,000? That’s nothing to him”. As I said earlier, the ‘puny’ $1,000,000 is just one example, but apparently you’re not one to ever let the facts get in the way of an argument.

Hmm. Not mine. As usual, freepers see more clearly than others.

Just read the Paul Solotaroff piece in Rolling Stone and thought it was pretty good. He gets it about Trump and is a pretty good writer! Just googled to try to find out if he is one of Ted Solotaroff’s sons. Anyone know? I worked with Ted years ago.

It’s also as if he’s playing Nim—the card game from Last Year at Marienbad. If you know the secret, you always win, as long as the other person goes first.

What he did is kind of unfortunate. I like Jindal but I like him less after this. It makes it seem like he onboard with the GOP-E.
