Good...that means he’s open to good advice and not to proud to change his mind when he’s wrong.

I don't see anything wrong with politicians doing a "complete 180" on the issue of those questionable refugees from the war zone. When people first see the horrific death and people marching away from their destroyed homelands, the instantaneous reaction is revulsion and wanting to do something.

Then, as the facts become clearer, it becomes obvious that this is an invasion. When armed with the facts, the sane reaction would then be "let Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar (etc) take them in".

When is some wise pol ever going to say the real enemy is Saudi Arabia, and why the hell are we fighting wars for them?

I am glad he came around. I hope he actually means it.

Those people are from cultures alien and hostile our nation and our culture. They bring with them nothing the Nation or its lawful Citizens and Residents need. Instead, the represent a threat to the safety of public and burden to the taxpayer.

Trump’a flipflopping does not have the same implications that it has with your normal pols. Where his is not well informed he takes the emotional position when he is tripped up by a question. Then he gets informed and the second take is the right one. If he says the wrong thing there are people whom he respects who will educate him and he is a quick study. Others who have supposedly been studying things for many years who flip on a subject cause alarms bells to go off where I hear them.

It's hard when you're not governed by ideology/ moral foundation. Trump, by his own admission and observed by his supporters, depends on his intelligence and experience of what works. That's fine for a businessman but not president where ideology is a matter of life and death of a nation.

So did Walker. I don’t think many had an ample chance to think this out.

I don’t blame any of them for not quite knowing what to do with it. It was seen as a European problem until Jon Cary mentioned we would take a bunch of the foreign fighter invaders too.

You know the media, even FOX reports this as a bunch of poor little familes being mistreated by people like Hungarians. They rarely point out most of them are fighting aged men.

Once people see that, the whole picture changes.

Full original: “So horrible on a humanitarian basis when you see that. It’s like incredible what’s going on. But, you know, we have so many problems. And the answer is possibly yes, Cokie, possibly yes.
But we have so many problems of our own. We have border problems that are big league that I exposed. I think if I didn’t expose them, I don’t think you’d be talking about them right now. I mean, it’s become a very big subject of debate. And it’s not so much debate.

People now realize I was right when I made that initial statement, and by the way, took a lot of heat for about a two week period, until people realized what was going on. But we have our own problems. We have so many problems to solve. Our country is broken. Our — we owe now — you know I’ve been saying 18 trillion, we now owe $19 trillion. It’s going to go up very rapidly from this point forward. You know that 18 stayed there for a long time. But now if you look at the numbers and the balance sheets, it’s going to go up very rapidly. We’re at $19 trillion. There’s only so much we can do. We have to fix our own country.

Now, Europe is handling it. Germany has been very generous so far, which is very surprising to me, to be honest with you. But there’s a huge problem, and we should help as much as possible, but we do have to fix our own country.”

It’s funny how Right Scoop on these websites paint this as a horrible flip flop, and then the comments section, as on FR, is like “good for him!”

I don’t think it was a total flip flop. The first questopm from the 8pm’r was do you object to these people. The question from Hannity was will you bring them in and the answer is no.

All I care is if the flops are a correction in the right direction.

Another non-story, IMO. Trump on BOR: “I hate the concept of it, but on a humanitarian basis you have to.” Trump on Hannity:"From a humanitarian standpoint I'd love to help but we have our own problems..." I don't see a problem here. This "gotcha" attempt is another fail.

He was always going to say that. On BOR the other night Trump never really said bring some in. He was just dancing around it so he didn’t get branded a hater. What he should have said was we need to bring all the Syrian Christian refugees here as others don’t seem to want them. Now that would have made a splash.

He made a "compassionate" statement w/o doing the math. Coming around is better than standing pat on a mistake.

As a Christian, I feel for them and wish we could ease their pain. As an American, who has watched his country be polluted by so many who were allowed in for "noble causes", to include illegals, I say give them some aid w/o bringing them here and if we really want to help, start by destroying something/someone and tell them where to attack as far as weak spots we have created for them to help themselves......that would not be in Obama's playbook.

I think conservatives SHOULD accept Christian women and children refugees.

But unfortunately if they tried that, the Washington DC Elite would morph that into uneducated Muslim men and ISIS fighters.
