All that’s happening is due to those who didn’t.
Trump often comments on issues before he has had a chance to think them through. More often than not, once he has, he tends to get it right. As President, he would have daily briefings on these subjects with good people (Bolton maybe?) who would discuss these issues in depth and advize him. If he’s elected, his history of good management, and surrounding himself with competent people will serve him well.
exactly. He flipped his opinion because he was given information...not because some political consultant did a focus group and told him the polling was going the other way.
I'm sure there are tons of people who are calling to allow immigrants in because of that horribe picture of that poor drowned toddler, not realizing that the poor child died because of his father's greed, not because they were fleeing ISIS.
There are many reasons a person may change their opinion on something. The pejorative flip-flop generally refers to someone who “changes his mind” for the most self-interested political reasons. Your typical flip-flopping politician says whatever he thinks he needs to say to get elected. He says one thing, and when he gets blow back, changes on a dime, because it’s all lies to begin with. What he actually plans to do once elected, is determined by what his donars want.
There is also changing ones mind for honest reasons, once new facts are presented, or once one has had the time to think things over. This king of changing ones mind is a virtue. The other kind is a vice.
From the onset, I’ve said that DT seems to talk in **stream of consciousness**. It’s a strange style to be sure. He continues to be fun to watch. I like the way he has shaken things up. If that is his only virtue for running, I consider it a good thing, as he has forced everyone to be on their toes.
What happens or not with Clinton makes the whole race a turmoil. *Our side* candidates need to pound home simple, time proven Conservative principles.

Yes, I agree. Whether his unguarded speaking style makes him disqualified to be President, I don’t know. I tend to think not, as long as he is deliberative when it comes down to actually implementing policy, which I think he will be.
On his comments on Syrian refugees I never heard Trump give a definite commitment to letting them in. His statements always had “maybes” attached to them.
The press is so dishonest.

That is not what he said. All he said was ‘something’ has to be done. He didn’t say what that was.
I took it that he hasn’t worked out a solution yet. As *nobody* else on the planet has figured it out either, that’s not a bad thing.
