I lived in SF and never heard Treasure Island referred to as, “Red Rock”.

Right. The photo above is off the 580 Bridge from Richmond to San Rafael. That’s not “Treasure island.” Its a small lonely piece of rock about 500 yards west of the Richmond refinery docks. Truth be told, it would be a great place to stage out of for the zombie apocalypse.
