The Eagles have released Tim Tebow, ending the former Heisman Trophy winner's bid to win the No. 3 quarterback job for Chip Kelly in Philadelphia, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Dad, somebody’s going to jump you for this. This is like the fourth posting.
Ouch - he had some sweet passes his last game
I never care about duplicate threads, but this one hurts too much...
Dont know why. He was a grown man who took a chance.
Had a lot of QB issues, and wasn’t up to Eagles to keep him as NFL good guy rep, maybe Goodall should do something right and give him position to put positive light on a nasty business,
Sorry son...
I thought they said they wanted him....I feel bad for him.
Why does he wait till LAST game like he did with patriots?!?!
by then, coaches’ minds are made up.
LEAVE HIM ALONE.
Tim, move on. That’s enough if you dont get picked up this season.
Nah, I don’t care. It just struck me as funny because it came up next to two of the other threads.
True, but he was also going against defensive players that were most likely to get cut as well.
I think Kelly didn’t want the star power. His press conference the other night was all about Tebow. Finally he said, are we still talking about qb?
If he had picked Tebow up, it would have been non-stop coverage. That being said, I’m from Philly but can’t watch Eagles after this, at least non-playoff.
LOL, now I can go back to hating the Iggles again. It was strange these last few months actually rooting for them.
Then you may not see them at all. Baffling personnel decisions, although I don't think cutting Tebow is one of them.
Folks, he’s not an NFL caliber QB. Period.
Instead of NFL systems trying to work him into their schemes I’d build the offense around his double threat. He’s built like a running back and carries the ball like one, and he never gets injured. Okay, he’s gonna throw some picks but I think that could worked on.
A lot of teams only carry 2 quarterbacks on their active roster. Tebow could still be a candidate for the Eagles’ practice squad.
likewise he was playing WITH the same type of players.
WatcH Bradford is going to cash it in again. Just too injury prone. 2 ACL’s. Not good.
I just noticed that the Cowboys cut QB Dustin Vaughn, who played the entire game against the Texans the other night, which further proves my point, that for the most part, the guys you see playing the final pre-season game are dead men walking.
Tebow has spent too much time on a regular season roster. He's ineligible for a practice squad slot.
There is an element of sadness in this latest release as he is obviously an exceptional person, is motivated to play, yet has been rejected by a number of presumably expert football judges of a man’s ability to play in the NFL.
