In recent years, there’s been plenty of discussion about bias in the media. Yet some of the most seemingly biased media and news organizations also have the largest viewership and readership. Can it be that people might complain about media bias, but actually enjoy receiving their news from a source that actually agrees with their own views? This was the question that authors asked in a recent study.

there was a time when someone could have had made bank with conservative version of USA Today but the internet makes that moot
One person’s “bias” is someone else’s “Far and Balanced”.
I don’t trust any bit of information without looking at more than one source if it is important. If I have four or five different views I start to feel more comfortable formulating an opinion.
Funny. Every major news outlet is leftist. One comes along that isn’t. Therefore it’s the “most biased”.
Not to worry. The Murdoch brothers are in the process of correcting that error.
I have no problem with bias, as long as the channel doesn’t deny it’s biased.
I have a big problem with “news” sources that claim they are doing unbiased journalism when they are anything but fair.
I also have a problem when 100% of the allocation of a scarce resource — i.e. broadcast bandwidth — belongs to sources that are heavily biased. But the influence of these is diminishing more and more every year.
I believe the bias is just a desperate attempt to sell newspapers to SOMEONE...anyone. As people age papers will disappear completely as younger people connected with technology and/or completely disinterested in news replace the older people that even bother with newspapers anymore. Whereas I read a paper on the toilet at work, a younger hipper person would simply use their cellphone to help move their bowels...
That is totally disgusting. Reminds me of a former boss. Instead of circulate trade periodicals he told us he would make them available in a magazine rack in the men’s bathroom. I can hardly think of a boss decision worse than that one.
Really? I’ve learned that there are sick, twisted, perverted people in the world, but those who make executive decisions while squatting on the toilet are among the worst.
I don’t make executive decisions, just move my bowels...and there is a recycling bin conveniently located between my office and head. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gone in to use a urinal and hear people having phone conversations on the john...
When I was younger I once ate a sandwich on the toilet; it was just an odd coincidence of hunger and needs.
