Donald Trump isn't going on the attack against Ben Carson not yet, at least.
"Well, I'm much better as a counterpuncher, so I'd rather have, and I'm hoping for Ben to really hit me at some point, because I love to counterpunch," the Republican presidential candidate said in response to a question on MSNBC's "Morning Joe," adding that the retired neurosurgeon has "been very nice to me, he's actually a really nice guy."
. Trump remarked that he and Carson get along well, and that he gets along well with most of the other people who will be appearing with him on the debate stage on Sept. 16.
"And it's interesting, but I think Im probably going to wait," Trump said. "I do have certain things to say, but I'm not going to be saying them for a little while. Lets see what happens."
On Thursday, a Monmouth national poll revealed that among several Republican contenders, only Carson defeated Trump in a hypothetical matchup (55 percent to 36 percent).
In an interview with the Daily Caller on Wednesday, Trump was questioned whether Carson had the right experience to be president.
Hes really a friend of mine, I just think its a very difficult situation that he puts himself into, to have a doctor who wasnt creating jobs and would have a nurse or maybe two nurses. Its such a different world. Ive created tens of thousands of jobs over the years," he answered.
Aides for Trump's campaign have been hesitant to criticize Carson as well, though one staffer did take a shot at Carson's endorsement of legal relief for immigrants who come to the United States illegally
I gave up finding the perfect candidate a long time ago, now I’ll settle for one that won’t wind up pissing me off 50% of the time.
This whole Trump thing is getting good between the clerk decision and the Carson thing (still would vote for Trump in general but leaning Cruz again in primaries) and I have to go to work!!!!!
Can Jim write me a note :)
Assuming the worst about HH-—it was a set up-—he planned to ambush DT with a gotcha question-—I’ll give you all of that. It’s how DT responds which concerns me. It’s OK to say, “I don’t know”. DT’s ego gets in the way. And he has near maniacal desire to seek revenge against anyone who crosses him. He never lets anything slide off his back. He takes everything personal.
I agree!!! And either Cruz or Trump has my vote in the generals. Not so sure about which one I will vote for in primaries yet.
Like I said, the board is just getting hot and I have to go to work, darn it!!!!!
Would you please give two or three Bible references to what the Bible has to say on illegal immigration.
But there is still plenty of time to see how things play out. Trump will need to adapt over time if his candidacy is to succeed.
Carson isn’t in to win. I believe the establishment put him up to run in order to split the conservative vote.
She’s already offering a compromise very similar to what Trump said by the way. Sat in jail for about the length of a Lord of the Rings movie.
One of my friends in Arkansas is a Carson supporter. She cites his strong Christian faith. I think he is weak on illegal immigration and I don’t like his tax plan.
He has no foundational experience to be President that I can see.
At least he has the b@lls to respond.
I've seen enough of this, thank you -
Trump, go easy on Carson. I like both of you a lot and you both represent what America needs. Ditto to Cruz. Screw the rest.
.
The prince has spoken!
.
HB1 might not be an issue if the other areas of the broken immigration system are fixed. The fact that that many are available does not mean that that companies use those visas
.
>> “He has no foundational experience to be President that I can see.” <<
.
Neither does Trump. - At least Carson is aware of his short comings.
.
He is simply giving what he is receiving. And it's working.
Trump sees through people & calls them on their crap...what’s wrong with that. He’s been doing it since he got in the race & it has served him well.
.
>> “And, you are wrong about illegal immigration - the Bible has much to say on this subject as well.” <<
.
Do enlighten us!
(This has got to be good!)
I’ll start with Romans 13:1-7 - this is about obeying the laws of government. Illegals are breaking our laws, are they not? Yes, they are.
There are many articles on the web - both pro and con about immigration. Here is one I like and is written in down-to-earth language.

Enlighten yourself. You have a computer at your fingertips - do your own research. Then it really will be good.
Trump has a lot of executive experience and is a world class negotiator. He also knows how to put together a winning team. Having said that, he also needs a steadying hand like Ted Cruz at his side.
