I told her I only had 40 cents. I was going five blocks, its 90 degrees, Im pregnant, and Im not feeling well.
I don't believe this counts as a discount, exception to full fare.
"but previously had been working as a political fundraiser..."
Hmmmm. Elizabeth Warren and Barack Obama supporter?

"but previously had been working as a political fundraiser..." Why couldn't she raise enough money to pay the fare?

Another gimme girl don’t like it when they are asked to pay. I have heard that it is not uncommon for most passengers on some routes to ignore paying.

As always, the comments after the article are twice as informative as the article itself.

Hmmm, just wondering if it was an Amish mother......
Actually, it’s a lot more than just wondering.

No sane person would do that, especially with a child in my vicinity, Anderson told the Herald. It was unprofessional and she should be ashamed of herself. No sane person would throw a drink on someone who was just doing their job. It was unprofessional and she should be ashamed of herself.

In my neck of the woods, skipping out on paying bus fare is a common practice. People say, what’s the big deal; it’s only $2.50. They don’t realize that with so many people not paying, the public transit agency could go broke. As it is, fares are subsidized through state and federal taxes. Without those subsidies, the real cost of a ride would be a helluva lot more.

Same in my neighborhood. The drivers just wave them on. I think they’re afraid to confront the sons of Obama.

Remember a few years ago when the progressives were pushing the minimum wage and it was discovered they weren't paying it to their own workers?
Also, why is a woman with no money volunteering for anything?

As always, the comments after the article are twice as informative as the article itself.Indeed. One guy made the astute observation that she didn't have enough money for the bus, but had enough to buy that drink.

A reasonable response instead of throwing a drink would have been ‘sorry I don’t have the correct amount but I promise the next time I ride the bus to include the difference in the fare’. Stupid people do stupid things based on stupid emotions. Its how we got stuck on the bus with Obama.
