“Doesnt an execution imply a trial, a verdict and a sentencing first.”
His execution of the assassination was lethal.
“Dark skinned” is actually an improvement for Houston news coverage. The usual practice has been to describe everything down to the last detail of color (even hair, eyes and shoes) and totally omit any mention of skin color, except for whites and sometimes Hispanics. So if there is no skin color in the story, the default thinking is that the person is black. Michael Berry, our local radio guy, has been shaming the Houston media for years over this.

Update: Person of Interest in Custody.
something about the way that guy looks... he sort of looks like a cop himself.
I am reading reports the mother claims he is innocent and was home with her.
Per CNN, it was the perp’s mother who turned him in. He was taken into custody at his mother’s house.

It’s standard procedure for undermining government. Left unchecked we get corrupt and timid police and a cowed populace, If they fight back we get police death squads and angry populace.
I my area the state police, no county sheriff, have fuel at the barracks but also can use local gas stations if needed to avoid a 30 minute drive each way.
Prime candidate for the death penalty.
Looks like the truck was found a few blocks from the gas station. If that’s his mother’s house, that would rule out a professional hit. Maybe just a guy with zero self-control.
You can be very confident this was *not* a professional level hit. This guy is likely just another extremely violent black guy. Prosecute him and kill him as fast as possible.
Someone ping me when they release his booking image. Thanks.
In the case of Harris County, a place that is about 1,800 square miles, they have to use locally contracted gas stations because not only is it a large area, it is also clogged with gobs of maddening traffic jams. Not good to get gas at the county's gas pumps when it takes so long to get there and back.
That certainly didn't help, but violent black people targeting police officers has been going on for longer than that. In 2009 we had four officers gunned down in Lakewood, WA by a violent black felon.
“The gunman was identified as 37-year-old Maurice Clemmons, originally from Marianna, Arkansas. Clemmons had a violent criminal history, with at least five felony convictions in Arkansas and eight felony charges in Washington. In 2000, Clemmons had his 95-year sentence for aggravated robbery commuted by then-Governor Mike Huckabee and moved to Western Washington in 2004.[12][13] In spring 2009, Clemmons was charged with rape of a child and third-degree assault on a police officer for punching a Pierce County sheriff's deputy in the face during a confrontation,[14][15] and was let out of jail on those charges after posting a $150,000 bail bond one week prior to the shootings.”

A female police officer had been murdered in Seattle a month prior under similar circumstances. Two more officers were killed in rural Pierce County not long afterwards. But certainly Obama has made things much worse. Unlike the psycho killer of the TV reporter and cameraman most of these executions were committed by people who obtained and possessed their firearms illegally. So more laws wouldn't have made much of a difference.
Per sheriff’s news conference a few minutes ago the executioner is still on the loose.
I just checked out Sarah Palins map of recommended targets and Arkansas was the nearest target. On the map I looked at Arkansas is only about an inch from Houston. I am quite sure the media will be able to see the connection.
RIP.
