I didn’t use the word cultist to refer to over a billion people. Plenty of people buy Apple products without insisting Apple did everything first. Much like how there are Beatles fans who enjoy the music but understand their actual place in history and Beatles cultists who insist they invented everything interesting in rock and roll even when members of the band acknowledge who they were copying.
I buy the product that best fits my needs. I’ve got no sense of self or ego tied to it. It’s just products for me.
Only the anti-Apple Hate Brigade read into what we post that "Apple did everything first." You seem to self-nominate yourself into that group by making that assumption. Apple was first with the multi-touch modern smartphone. They hold the patent on multi-touch capacitance screens. The only prior use capacitance screen on a phone was only single touch: the LG-KE850 Prada feature phone (using an Adobe Flash operating system), with only 8 megabytes of memory.
Not mental, eh? Then, what drives you these Apple threads with your snarky attitude and insults to the readers?
Painful gas pressure in your lower alimentary tract?
Yep - the apple shills put so much emotion into electronics its humorous. They get whipped up in a frenzy with their “Apple-first” policy for everyone rather than use a technical trades analysis approach to identify the right tool for the job.
