Samsung Galaxy Note 5 faces stylus issue

The Note 5 stylus has been causing problems for some users

Some early adopters of a new Samsung phone have said the device's stylus suffers from a design flaw.

The S-Pen stylus for Galaxy Note 5 models can be stored within the body of the phone, but when inserted upside down it appears to snag on an internal mechanism.

Users have reported that when the stylus is then forcibly removed it can damage the S-Pen, the Note 5, or both.

Samsung said users should follow the instruction manual.

The stylus should be inserted by the pointed end first and is designed to fit snugly into the Note 5 handset via a spring-loaded mechanism.

However, it can also be inserted upside down but can jam when in this position.

Tech news website Android Police has reported that removal of the wrongly inserted stylus caused a detection feature for the S-Pen to stop working permanently.

Why would you need to change the battery?

Bigger flaws are non-replaceable battery and no micro-sd storage card slot. if I wanted an iPhone I would buy one. Sticking to my Note 4.

Have a Note 4 too. Like being able to walk in the house and switch batteries. Don't much like the storage limitations either. Wonder what LG is going to do.

I change batteries frequently when I travel. Long flights for example. Also keeps me away from those crowded recharging stations at airports. Bought 3 aftermarket batteries including a charger for about $22 for my note 4, did the same with my previous galaxy phone.

Also download audio books, music, and even videos direct to the sd card frequently. The apple lack of those two features, replacable battery, cd card, is a deal breaker for me.

Another reason to change batteries is as a phone ages its battery life shortens. I change to one of the backup batteries when this happens.

They make Battery cases for the iPhone. No need to open it up and replace the battery. Also you don't have to carry extra batteries.

Why buy an sd card when you can buy a phone/tablet with more than enough memory?

My iPad has 64 gig and that is way more than enough for me.
