Actually, the GOP elites are fascists so I guess this post is just a case of projection.

it ain’t conservative, but I don’t know if I’d break out the “fascist”... I’m more incline to say pedantic or childish or a lot of other things before the f-word

It’s pretty simple really, the Republican leadership was taken over/lobbied heavily by Libertarians who invaded the party because (in the words of one of them who became an elected official that I know of) nobody wants to vote for Libertarians, so if they want representation the GOP is their best bet. Problem is they got greedy, and yet we still have the basic problem of the unpopularity of the Libertarian world view which includes such things as Open Borders. On what planet, pray tell, is Open Borders a conservative stance? Or a Republican stance?

I think the idea was that gay everything, legalized weed, and open borders were the “good news” that was supposed to convert us all. Instead people are heading for any port in a storm.

And if our Republic is really dead as a practical matter? If the party system has outlived its usefulness and is dead, what then? If all our current politicians want is money and power, what then?

You forgot #6:

6. They try to stigmatize anyone who criticizes their leader by equating them with the worst of the opposition.

We’re already seeing that on this very thread :)

But you have no problem by ACTUALLY getting screwed by both parties for 30 years? Have you bothered to check middle class income charts adjusted for inflation? In case you have not, middle class is tapped out and under stress.

Trump’s priority is to help the middle class, which actually works hard and produces goods and services. What we have now is the top 1% getting richer, and the bottom 47% feeding at the welfare trough without pushing the wagon.

DO not blame Trump....blame the professional politicians for the anger in electorate.

Using the term “Fascist” is a corollary to Godwin’s Law.

4. The delight that Trump seems to take in personally demeaning and attempting to destroy anyone who opposes him. And the way that his followers cheer him on in so including supporting him using sexist slurs against Megan Kelly for doing her job as a journalist.

Poor dear Megan Kelly. Such a delicate flower, she needs protection per Trump haters. But she threw out the first sexist slur with the question she aimed at Trump, purposely leaving out the background story of the Trump/Rosie fight. That's some kind of journalist. Leave out the facts, just throw the bomb.

You don’t understand

The US Government now subsidizes the decapitation of babies
and the shipment of baby heads from Planned Parenthood

Baby heads are being sold in America
and
you are concerned about Trump
This is your America
Not Trump’s

It’s just that a lot of people think that it is refreshing to see someone calling themselves a republican, actually fight back, instead of just roll over and play dead every time some PC BS is thrown at him.

He’s no kind of conservative i recognize. I’m aware of Godwin’s Law so I’m a bit reluctant to draw the obvious comparison.

Don’t forget that the screaming democrats will always be on his heels. If he does try to go fascist, the democrat fascist party will attack him if not to their liking. The conservatives will attack from their side. With the internet keeping the public aware of the truth, I think he would be kept under control.

Trump has mortally wounded the pro-amnesty SourKrauts at Fox News, Rubio and Jeb Bush.

I think some of the MSM recent tolerance of Cruz is to hurt Trump not to help Cruz.

Trump right now is being used to bash Jeb,Rubio and other RINOs and that is great.

If you want to talk about Fascism then look no further than the Democrats, Obama, Hillary, Bernie, etc.

I don't see Trump as Fascist, I see him as someone who has tapped into the absolute frustration of people who are tired of being lied to and seem to have no recourse.

How would you term George Bush, the Fascist label could equally apply to him with the policies pushed after 9-11 to turn this country into a Police State with the Patriot Act and Homeland Security. We let Bush and others play on our fear of Terrorism to move in a direction of less freedom and more control.

Trump is a breath of fresh air and I am sure these Hit pieces will keep coming, primarily from those who distort history and have their own agenda.

I ,in fact, find Trump more reminiscent of Teddy Roosevelt than anything else.

Seriously if I had to pick a political philosophy for the Trump movement I would say that it is fascism for the following reasons.

Methinks you need to look up the word "Fascism"...

As an economic system, fascism is socialism with a capitalist veneer. The word derives from fasces, the Roman symbol of collectivism and power: a tied bundle of rods with a protruding ax. In its day (the 1920s and 1930s), fascism was seen as the happy medium between boom-and-bust-prone liberal capitalism, with its alleged class conflict, wasteful competition, and profit-oriented egoism, and revolutionary Marxism, with its violent and socially divisive persecution of the bourgeoisie. Fascism substituted the particularity of nationalism and racialism—“blood and soil”—for the internationalism of both classical liberalism and Marxism.

Trumpism was CAUSED by the GOPe / RINO unwillingness to adhere to the conservatism that elected them.
