Not so long ago, Canadians took umbrage at foreigners sickened by pictures of Canucks busting the heads of seal pups, killing them in the wild for their fur. Either the Canadians stopped doing it, or stopped anyone from talking about it.
Can I keep him Mom ... he followed me home ?
Nature doesn’t need heavy-handed intervention to function.
Believe or not, the world operated quite alright for millions of years before environmentalists...
Reminds me of an old joke...”A baby seal walks into a club...”
If they were good to eat there would be seal farms.
(Just thinking out loud.)
Are these the same ones who devastate the salmon runs?
They may look cute, but those things stink to high heaven when you get a group of them together.
We drove all the way to Washington to go crabbing off the docks. I finally realized there was a seal stealing our bait so we bought bait boxes. Then the seals either chewed them open or stole them from the crab rings. I was not impressed with their antics.
Just let them die.
“Every single day for a harbor seal pup is life and death because they are just teetering on that brink of survival,” says Robin Lindsey, another founding member of Seal Sitters. Lindsey, who usually goes out at dawn to look for harbor seal pups, once found an open can of tuna fish in a spot where a seal pup had been resting.”
What boggles the mind is that they think nothing of the slaughter of human beings in the womb.
Shame on them.
