It may have fared badly in the recent robo-olympics, causing hilarity with a series on unexpected falls, but Google has revealed its humanoid robot has been set free in the woods to learn how to run through terrain. The Atlas robot created by Google-owned firm Boston Dynamics is a formidable figure at 6ft 2in tall and weighing in at 330lb. In the video, it is shown struggling to stay upright - but managing to traverse a forest path without falling.

While interesting, some day some will use this to hunt-down and “eliminate” others. That should give some pause.

To the contrary, cover it with displays & cameras - give it [somewhat] viable "cloaking" camo, displaying what's on the other side. Won't be completely invisible, but could seriously mess with visibility.

"Imagine these armed and chasing down humans."
It will be a while before they go far without the power leash, but imagine the many ways to catch them and use them.

Humans on AMC.
Just finished up the first season. Very well done American/British sci-fi show that explores a sort of future (year isn’t defined) where humanoid robots are a normal part of everyday life.
There is a bigger story arc, but that’s the base of it.

In the original specifics on Steve Rogers / Captain America - he was 6’8” and 348 lbs and could run up to (for short distances) 45 mph. - that’s a badass right there
