The same kind of LIV wave that gave us Hussein. Many of them have no discernible core principles. They just want a fake savior.

You do need a certain percentage of Low-Info Voters to win elections.

Guys like Romney get zilch of that vote.

I think Trump is drawing across the board.

The party dismisses Trump supports, Ron Paul supporters, libertarians, activist Tea Partiers.

The party also under-performs in every presidential election.

Correlation? I’d say so. Welcome everyone in, and tell those supporters why their views fit the view of the party as a whole. The core focus of each of these groups should be central to the party message to pull people in. The party would rather dismiss motivated voters and try to placate the opposition in hopes of pulling their voters. What a sill approach. In sales, I call it selling to the low hanging fruit.

Personally attacking allies because they picked another candidate is a stupid, stupid move.

You'd think that by now folks would realize how counterproductive it is and get ahold of their emotions. But it happens every election season.

A man who, as intended in the first place ... is a citizen politician ?

A man who, as intended in the first place ... is a land owner ?

A man who, as intended in the first place ... is politically aware and desiring to serve ?

A man who, as intended in the first place ... BELIEVES in his nation ?

THAT D Trump ?

I'm no Pollyanna, but I AM conflicted by the last 30 years of socio/political indoctrination and conditioning that leads me to contemplate a politician as some kind of special breed and not a common man

By the more modern day influence of my own Christian world view in contrast to another's not-so-Christian .... but may be just as correct

I'm not electing a pastor nor a Sunday school teacher.

The key will be, as always, getting information to people and helping them get to the polls or by voting by mail.

yeah.. we don’t take the fate of this nation as serious as the crop of bureaucrats and politicians who have been running things into the ground for the last few decades.

Trump should make it a national movement not only to elect him but to replace ALL the same faces we have seen in Washington over and over for years.

We should coin a new term, “low information media”.

My two cents (as if anyone cares):

Trump is serving two purposes - he’s getting dialogue started that othewise would have been swept away (border situation is prime example) and he’s taking enemy fire while Cruz continues to raise money

I haven’t heard much to impress me about his “conservative” principles, and he has said some troubling things (continue to fund PP, single payor healthcare like Canada, blah blah blah), however, with the flak he’s taking from the GOPe RINOs, it makes me think he’s really over the target & for that reason I will support him as long as possible.

He also doesn’t need to take money from special interest groups, and I am of the firm belief that PAC funds & lobbyists must be neutered. They’re essentially powerless against Trump, which is a very good thing.

Just my thoughts. I really wish FReepers would stop trashing this guy and fighting with each other. We need to reform the GOP or destroy it. This guy is just what we need to get that accomplished.

Establishment hacks are losing their minds. They simply cannot accept the fact that one of their trained seals may not get the nomination.

that they don’t take the fate of this nation seriously

You can always tell a Bush sock pocket by the language they use. It's worked well over the years, but they just cannot seem to realize the formula is no longer effective. Here are some standard stock phrases that immediately reveal their position:

- adults in charge
- taking issues seriously
- let cooler heads prevail
- do we really want to bring the system down?
- broader leadership goals
- reach across the aisle
- I stand with my colleagues
- etc, etc, etc

What's most revealing, however, is just how stupid the media/DC cartel really is; truly bottom-of-the-barrel talent. It's why they were attracted to easy street in the first place, instead of getting out there and working hard to develop useful and productive goods & services.

Isn’t that cute, the GOPe still thinks it’s all a mistake on our part and if they just explain harder they will win!
