How did you install it on your iPad?

Opera + AdBlock. No problems.

Haven't visited his site directly in years-too many ads-but I do follow him on Twitter.

Two words: Firefox/AdBlockPlus

I visit Drudge at least a dozen times every day and never see an ad.

Here's a link to the version in the App Store.

I used to use the noscript add-on, but turned it off because so many websites won’t work without javascript. I’ll give yescript a try. Thanks.

If you use just about any Apple mobile device the flash ads are what I’ve found to be the culprit. They close all the windows down and then boot back up but they clear whatever you may have typed which is especially frustrating if you are doing a search in one window then flip over to another one to copy and paste into it.

Just turn off java script for that. No script will also do that job.

Thx. I had the demo on my iPad, but it expired. Just bought it on the AppStore — nice — no ads on Drudge. I can’t find my bookmarks, however.

Get AdBlockPlus and you, too, will soon wonder: 'What's an ad? Is it like those commercials they show on TV?' Seriously, I haven't seen one since the install! And it's free! Stop screwing around with this penny-ante advert crap. Just do it. You can thank we who say this later...

Why don’t you use the RSS feed page?? You’ll get all the headlines and photos with no ads whatsoever. You can turn auto refresh off or on. To read the articles click on “link” underneath each headline.

A non-dismissable banner taking you to a non-closeable web page sound like malware to me, not sure Drudge is where the problem lies.

When this kind of hijack occurs (no matter who is responsible) Windows users can normally gain control, without the need to reboot, by opening Task Manager and terminating the browser there.

You have to clear/delete cookies and data to get Drudge back.
I had to set cookies to only visited and then when I upgraded to iPhone 5, the problem went away entirely.

Thanks so very much for the link. I’ve just changed my Drudge Report bookmark in Google Plus to it.

A good alternative to Adblock Plus is uBlock. I use it as a Firefox add-on and am very happy with it. It is very light-weight: i.e., it doesn’t use a lot of resources compared to other rival extensions.

Fast and lean. It does a great job.

Install Adblocker Plus on your computer.

No more banner ads on Drudge at all.

it consists of placing a “marker” over the image of the banner..whoich when clicked...closes the banner.

I NOTE that the banned ad is still posted without the code having been added to close it.

Oh well it wont last forever.
