    No rest for the weary...
And yes I know some of you eschew such updates, but there's a price for that as well...

Good lord, has it been a month already? Seems like we just had a Patch Tuesday ... PING!

You can find all the Windows Ping list threads with FR search: just search on keyword "windowspinglist".
  Get patching!

    NEVER allow Flash to run.
DONT use CHROME, Flash is built in.

How do I update windows explorer? Updates for IE should come as part of the overall Windows update set. Most times they're just incremental security fixes, but sometimes it'll be a version upgrade. If you're not running IE 11 you might get offered that, depending on which version of Windows you have.

Windows 10 HOME edition..my laptop has PRO edition, both received the same number of patches

To: Sarah Barracuda
Ah, then that makes sense. Some of the patches were only for earlier versions of Windows, and some were for applications (Office, etc.) so a Windows 10 machine didn't need them all.
How do you like Win 10 so far?

Just put back in malwarebytes and ready go to..oh and I like the notifications icon near the clock that’s pretty cool reminds me of android phones
I opened up Microsoft office not sure if any updates were installed how can I check?

To: dayglored
Win 10 is a buggy pain in my ass. I've already seen it eat everything from MS Word to video and audio drivers. Flash issues in Edge. I think the MS development team is sitting back and watching to see what sort of patch laundry list gets written for them.

I opened up Microsoft office not sure if any updates were installed how can I check? Within the Windows Update part of Control Panel there's a place to check the Update History. That should include the Office updates as well as the operating system updates.

Flash issues in Edge. Interesting, I didn't know Edge was going to even support Flash. No plug-ins, or thereabouts?

Yeah Im not seeing the microsoft office updates in update history

To: Sarah Barracuda
You probably want to check your Windows Update settings. In the same dialog where you can set the options for “automatic” vs. “notify” vs. “download but don’t install”, there should be a section that determines whether you get updates for your other Microsoft products. That might not be turned on. Other than that, I’m not sure how it’s handled in Win 10 yet, but perhaps another FReeper with Win10 can help.

It's got an on/off slide switch under Settings. Still getting the feel of it, but I usually get at least one trouble call a night with 10 now.
