Poll is open to guests
This was their "secret plan" they spoke of, keep Trump playing offense, don't give him time of issues. He will learn from this and be prepared.
On the bankruptcy bit, he could have said "Yes, I took bankruptcy, any smart business person would to the same when you are losing profits, and that is just what I will do with this government if elected. close all the agencies that are losing/wasting money. That should have been his answer.
Cruz won this debate "event"...........hands down.
so we are basically on the same page with Cruz and that's a good thing. LOL
I didn't hear ONE.
They pitched around his sweet spot on immigration EXCEPT to challenge him to prove Mexico govt sending criminals.
It was filthy.
But that is playing to Trump. He doesn’t care about issues. He cares about making noise and bravado.
Cruz was the best to me. Kasich helped himself, but I’m not a fan.
Trump was a little disappointing. His answers were basically his stump speech. He needed some facts and details to back up his statements. We may know what he says is true, but he has to persuade others.
Ditto
I really like Carson, but not as a presidential candidate. He would make a great surgeon general though. Loved his closing statement
We think alike
I agree. I don’t support Trump because I think he is a Democrat tool, but I do appreciate that he says things that need to be said, that others don’t have the guts to say. He is showing the weak-spined uniparty that voters prefer truth and he is giving others cover to address things more boldly. I think he is in it for the Clintons.
I liked Carson, but I think he showed that he doesn’t have the deep background in the issues that is needed. I thought Cruz did well. I thought Walker was weak. Christie turned me off. Paul didn’t show well. I would never support RINO Rubio, but he had his moment. Bush didn’t impress me. Huckabee got a few good points in (and I have never been impressed by him, so I was surprised).
I watched both debates.Carly won.
Great assessment.
I like the fact that even the candidates I don’t particularly care for had some good points to make.
One of my favorite moments was the comment about how the Republicans have many good candidates and the Democrats can’t even come up with one.
That’s what Cruz and Fiorina are for. Ben’s a moral compass.
Hillary hasn’t got a chance ;o)
And a filthy ambush it was.
It was at least as filthy as the POTUS debate of 2012 with Crowley setting up Obama's great lie.
Great points.
Although I don’t want Trump, I have to say I would agree with him about the pledge to support the Republican candidate who wins. But in an entirely different way. I suspect Trump will go 3d party (like Perot) if he does not get the nomination.
I would support any true conservative who wins, but I would not support another liberal Republican. Been there. Done that. It got me 0vomit in the WH and I can’t think of anyone who could have been worse. Won’t do it again. If Bush get the nomination, I’ll vote 3d party (not Trump) or write in.
I am happy to report that Foxnews and Kelly in particular are getting reamed and I mean absolutely reamed on facebook.
Cruz.
Just voted. Ted Cruz.
I see he’s winning by quite a bit.
Nice guy, smart, and polite. I agree.
No qualifications for high office. Not so sure. The current WH occupant is less qualified than a random pick from the phone book. At least Carson is intelligent.
He’s not my top pick, but I would rather have him than many “qualified” candidates. I’m tired of professional politicians. The main talent of most professional politicians is getting elected. That’s a lot different than being qualified to lead and make decisions. Getting elected mostly involves sucking up to the maximum number of people while alienating the fewest.
I want a President who can make decisions that are intelligent, logical, moral, Constitutional, and good for the citizens of this country and not for special interest groups, illegals, and foreigners.
Well it didn’t work for me. I’m still voting Trump!
If you noticed, Carson made it clear he wasn’t accepting their premise that Hillary would be the Dems’ candidate, then said something like, “But if only we could be so lucky...”.
I can see him as a VP on a winning (non-Jeb) ticket.
Agreed. Carson really starting to come into it.
