A 26-stone woman has claimed that she is going blind after drinking 28 cans of the stimulant drink every day
A woman has claimed that she started to lose her sight after drinking dozens of cans of Red Bull every day.
Lena Lupari, 26, has gained so much weight from drinking seven litres of the energy drink that her brain has swollen. The mother-of-three was ingesting 3,000 calories every day and was unaware of the harm she was doing to her body until she collapsed in June.
She told the MailOnline: "I used to drink 28 cans of Red Bull in a day and I'd only have a meal at night but it would usually be something fast-food like a takeaway or a packet of pasta.
"I've got three young children, one with special needs, and didn't have time to make anything.
"I'd been suffering from migraines and headaches for about five years but I just ignored them and took painkillers. "Then my vision went and I couldn't even lift my head off the bed and I ended up in hospital for six days."

Ive never even had a Red Bull.
I only have Red Bull with Vodka. Why would anyone drink it plain? I unfortunately love Red Bull and vodka......but I only drink it a few times a year....thankfully.
Or should we say, barf on tap? :)
I've tasted both individually, mere sips mind you.
I can't imagine drinking a combination of the two and holding down the contents of my stomach.
What kids will endure these days for a buzz.
Expensive habit.
I cranked the sugar in my hummingbird nectar formula. And I’m wondering if that stuff ferments. The little guys are practically bouncing off the window, driving off wasps and bees, drinking that stuff like it’s moonshine.
In fairness, their product is marketed to stupid people, so there's that...
I can see how energy drinks could help someone like you who drive a lot. If I had one, I would have a panic attack from hell. A few weeks ago, I added some Mio water enhancer with energy to my water. I suffered a panic attack that lasted three days. I really wish that my body could tolerate them because I could really use one at times.
In 'Merica we'd call her a welfare queen.
Very few people who have a tax-paying job are tatted up, pierced through every square inch of skin and are morbidly obese.
Why? Because only people on welfare have the TIME to do all those things.
Workin' people generally don't.
Yes it will.
Remember the radio show water drinking contest a few years ago?
A woman DID die from the water overload.
This also happens several times each Oktoberfest in Germany.
People drink so much beer, they die from water intoxication, NOT from the alcohol.
It destroys the kidney's ability to concentrate urine. Thus electrolytes get fouled up.
Ive actually avoided a lot of bad foods. For instance, Ive never had a Twinkie. I hear that they taste bad, too.
Deep fried Twinkies are actually pretty good. I haven’t eaten 28 of them tho.
Natch. Second place would be a gamer, but they usually go for Mountain Dew.
no protein and no fats will give you a serious bout of depression.
twinkies are designed to do on thing and do it extremely well. and they do. and they don’t taste bad either.
And people like this are breeding....
Well, clearly Red Bull needs to be regulated.

“Someone(s) had sex with that, at least thrice!”
Obviously he had been drinking upwards of 40 Red Bulls a day for many years prior.
And I will only use Red Bull in a situation like that where I needed to stay alert behind wheel on a long boring drive. That some people would just sit around drinking it in massive amounts like this woman amaze me. This is potent stuff and probably not healthy to take on regular basis. In my mind, it is like a drug.
Abuse of a legal substance resulting in harm should not automatically give the user any right to collect damages.
