Silicon Valley Scientists ‘Brightening’ Clouds To Combat Climate Change

SUNNYVALE (KPIX 5) — In a Silicon Valley research lab, scientists are working on what might be considered the option of last resort for global warming.

“It’s an insurance policy,” said researcher Sudhanshu Jain.

It’s called the Marine Cloud Brightening Project, and it’s designed to fight global warming by making clouds over the ocean thicker and brighter so they reflect more sunlight and cool the planet.

The Sunnyvale team has reached a milestone with this high-pressure nozzle that uses salt water and looks like a normal water spray. But it took scientists a year to come up with the exact rate, flow and pressure so that the water droplets come out to the perfect size.

Good Question. Water vapor is a much more significant greenhouse gas than CO2. Might be a good idea to get ready for a long cold spell.

Not from a single barge ... but they should try doing this off the coast of California.

Bingo

The USAF has been experimenting with solar radiation modification since the late 1990’s.
The persistent contrails that spread into cirrus haze has been witnessed extensively.
NASA JPL eluded to the program, and “future” deployment to alleviate AGW.

We are paying for something that has huge disastrous potential (contaminating air, soil, and water) and we are not given a chance for informed consent.

Ever see the movie “Snowpiercer?” A plot based on future “global warming” that gubments tried to stop and they turned the planet into a giant ball of ice where the only people left ride this train.

We all know AGW is a crock. So if these geniuses shoot salt spray into the sky, and the planet does not warm, as it HASN’T for 20 years, they’ll claim that THEY saved us.

One down side I see is that what goes up must come down. So before long we’ll have salty rain falling on agricultural land, killing crops and corroding everything. But they have such GOOD INTENTIONS, dontcha know.

Ever see the movie “Snowpiercer?”

I'll check it out.

Is it in the same genre as "The Day After Tomorrow"?

That one was funny.

Yes, with liberals it’s never the horrible results of their policies, it’s their good intentions that matter.

Stratospheric Welsbach seeding for reduction of global warming
US 5003186 A
Abstract
A method is described for reducing atmospheric or global warming resulting from the presence of heat-trapping gases in the atmosphere, i.e., from the greenhouse effect. Such gases are relatively transparent to sunshine, but absorb strongly the long-wavelength infrared radiation released by the earth. The method incudes the step of seeding the layer of heat-trapping gases in the atmosphere with particles of materials characterized by wavelength-dependent emissivity. Such materials include Welsbach materials and the oxides of metals which have high emissivity (and thus low reflectivities) in the visible and 8-12 micron infrared wavelength regions.

Lets see if we can ‘help’ glo-BULL warming by throw millions of dollars at it. Last time Global warming was around, Dinosaurs were on the planet.

Kalifornication is leading the way with pending Cap law 50% oil and gas reductions - oh Goodee

The future’s so bright, I gotta wear shades.

OK!! Everybody pay attention!

Lesson for today:

1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.

2. The sun is a ball of fire that controls the climates of all its planets.

3. The earth is one of the sun’s planets.

4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.

5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.

Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?

and it’s designed to fight global warming by making clouds over the ocean thicker and brighter so they reflect more sunlight and cool the planet.

Less sunlight would then hit the ocean and be used by algae to convert carbon dioxide to oxygen, thus keeping up CO2 levels and reducing oxygen levels.

Who needs oxygen anyway?
