It used to be “Here. Hold my beer.” Now it’s “I’m going to take a selfie.”

Why go to Pamplona, Spain when you can go to Yellowstone?

Just a guess here but I am thinking these folks have a “I believe you Anita’ bumper sticker in their past or a “Sanders in 2016” in their future.

"Bison attacks woman who was trying to take selfie with it in Yellowstone Park"
How well did the picture turn out?
To: MinorityRepublican
It’s no laughing matter, believe me.
I was bit by a bison once...or maybe it was a moose...or maybe it was a mosquito. I disremember right now.

What looks like a big lumbering animal is often much faster than it appears to be.

There is a herd of bison near me, I cannot tell you how many times I have been driving by and witnesses some family that is out amongst the bison to get better pictures. Most people have no idea how dangerous they can be, and yes they are fast. I used to stop and warn people but they would always look at me as though I was the idiot, so now I just drive on by.

6 yards, uh huh... sure. Bison can get unnerved but people are usually lying about the distance. Folks get way too close and the animals usually try to warn them off with flaring nostrils and even head tossing. You are in very serious trouble when those signs appear. But as many times as I've been in Custer State Park in South Dakota, Yellowstone, and other places with freely roaming Bison, I've yet to see anybody charged or run off who wasn't a lot closer than that.
Nature is a bad neighborhood. All of the other animals seem to get that. Strangely, the apex predator does not.

To think, so very many people visited the park for decades while actually looking around and enjoying the adventure. Now people go places for social media postings. Least when they get home they can look at their time lines to see where they went and missed.
