That's because they worry about possible rallying points. Left to his own devices, Obama wouldn't do it. He probably thinks more of the idiot who did the shooting than the soldiers he leaves defenseless with his no-firearm rule.
I wrote in another post that I was rather shocked last night to see all the effort on a FOX segment that was being put into running down the killer as a bad muslim--he was depressed, he drank, he'd been on a binge, he did drugs--it seemed like a high-up editorial decision to make the best of it for Islam by painting this guy as an unstable lone wolf. However, he had been to Jordan and Qatar, and had been radicalized on-line, and possibly at a nearby mosque. You didn't hear that.
After this much time has passed, what is the point?
Trump had called him out on it earlier in the day.
And he was about to speak to the VFW where surely it would have been an issue.
Not because he cares about the dead Marines or anything.
