Something unpopular to say on FR, and I wish it wasn’t so, is the fact that to win the presidency a candidate is going to have to compromise with the GOPe.
I don’t mind that IF it’s a true compromise. One where conservatives actually win some important concessions and support.
Walker seems to be letting the RINOs run roughshod over him.
He hasn’t much time to turn that impression around.
After he brings Cruz down in the Iowa primary the RINOs won’t have much use for him.

Thats the whole thing and many never think it through.
First, one cannon compromise certain issurs. Abortion/Healthcare/2A/1A. that type of thing is core to BEING a conservative and an American. Some things can but not core issues.
And there must be a fair compromise coming our way. Always. No exceptions. The GOP is used to promising the moon and returning the fertilizer. Because gutless people on the right allow it. They ENCOURAGE it by repeatedly giving in. That has to stop.
Then we can talk with the GOP about naming sewage treatment plants and regulating assault lawn darts and come to an even compromise.

It was 97 or so. It’s been a while since I looked but they used to have it listed. Long out of print. It was a coffee table style book. Not exactly in depth political reading ;)

Well, we’ve gotten ALL of that from the RINOs... but in ‘show votes’ that didn’t matter.
The RINOs have been intransigent and they have to be negotiated with from a position of strength- which Walker doesn’t have yet.
I’d put fiscal responsibility at the top as I think by ruining us financially with it’s welfare statism DC is also ruining us morally and culturally.
That’s the toughest nut though, no politician ever got re-elected by not spending more money.
Hannity is taking the establishment line against Trump. He is such a fair guy.

The thing is Walker is in no position, nor will he ever be, to negotiate with the GOP on behalf of conservatives because he sits across the table from us. I would expect him to negotiate with conservatives on behalf of the GOP. Because thats where his loyalties are.
Ha! Mitt Walker takes time out of his listening tour to pile on Trump. Other than that he has nothing to say. He is trying the Hillary Clinton approach of staying quiet and hoping nobody asks him a question. LOL!
I would forward the radical notion that a pol that would spend the most in order to be elected should not be and in fact actively opposed for doing so.
It doesn’t surprise me. Hannity has long been a McCain Butt kisser.
