//GS -- the most
purely enjoyable programming platform[s] I ever owned!!
I still have two complete systems:
- A "Woz" signature special
- A //GS -- "souped" up with almost every enhancement (HD, expanded memory, etc.) made for it by Applied Engineering. It has the Apple video Overlay Card, and is set up as the signal processor for a sophisticated video editing suite that includes a pair of high end Panasonic VHS editing decks and controller. And it also has a MIDI system and software for composing music -- playable via the GS's built in "Ensoniq" synth chip or an external MIDI keyboard...
Looks like I should download this new OS rev, drag out the "toys"-- and "play" a bit...
Now -- what do I have on hand for burning a floppy for "feeding" the OS rev to the Gs...?

I still have a mac that runs OS 8. I love the look, and feel of it. I play games on it, and cherish it like an old family member.
There’s something about those old macs. Like old classic cars. Still wonderful.
