Apparently Hillary Clinton doesn’t remember when she received Planned Parenthood’s Margaret Sanger award with pride, even calling Margaret Sanger someone she “admired enormously.”

During the event, Clinton said that emphasizing and promoting abortion is a key issue and she also defended taxpayer funded abortions for poor women.

“Here at home there are still too many women who are denied their rights because of income, opposition, and attitudes that they harbor,” she said.

But Hillary Clinton is ignoring the new Planned Parenthood scandal. The Washington Free Beacon has more:

The Washington Free Beacon reached out to the campaigns of all five Democrats running for president: former Secretary of State and frontrunner Hillary Clinton, insurgent socialist Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley, former Virginia Sen. Jim Webb, and former Rhode Island Gov. Lincoln Chafee. None responded to questions about whether they condemned the practice of organ harvesting, whether Democrats should distance themselves from Planned Parenthood, or return campaign donations from the group.

Each Democratic candidate enjoys a close relationship with Planned Parenthood and the abortion lobby. Lincoln Chafee, the former governor of Rhode Island, is the only one without a perfect rating from the pro-abortion group NARAL. He has a 90 percent approval score.

Clinton won Planned Parenthood’s Margaret Sanger Award in 2009. She received more than $10,000 from the organization during two Senate runs and failed 2008 primary against President Barack Obama. She opposes limits on late-term abortion. As president, Bill Clinton vetoed a ban on partial birth abortion methods that Nucatola appeared to discuss in the video.

“The overarching mission of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, the cause of reproductive freedom that you continue to advance today is as relevant in our world now as it was 100 years ago. So, I thank you,” Clinton said in a release upon winning the award. A campaign spokesman did not return a request for comment.

The Margaret Sanger award that Clinton received is named after the Planned Parenthood founder who has been criticized for harboring eugenics views.

“If Secretary Clinton were fully aware of the eugenicist past of Margaret Sanger, I cannot believe that she would be accepting an award in her name,” Marjorie Dannenfelser, the head of the Susan B. Anthony List, a pro-life women’s political group, told LifeNews.com.

“Sanger broadly supported the eugenics movement, advocating for a superior race that was free of poor, immigrant, and minority citizens. She even spoke at a rally of the Ku Klux Klan,’ Dannenfelser explained. “Despite this evidence, Planned Parenthood, the nation’s leading abortion provider, has done little to distance itself from Sanger’s legacy.”

Dannenfelser said the image of Planned Parenthood targeting minorities was reinforced when its affiliate staffers did not repudiate calls with pretend donors who wanted their money used for abortions of African-American babies.

It is impossible to justify tax exemption and tax dollars for an organization that is rolling in money and also contributes to political causes and politicians.

Anyone who supports this criminal behavior deserves prison at the very least.

Do not expect Clinton to tie herself to any public position if she doesn't have to. She has nothing to gain and degrees of freedom to lose if she does. This is degraded but smart politics. Why should she get involved in a passing "controversy" that will not go anywhere ultimately, and in which she has no real stake?

I tell you now, do not underestimate this person. She is not a good campaigner, but she will be a smart one.

Odd how the press isn't asking democrats running for office how they feel about this issue... especially considering the money planned parenthood gives to democrats.
