Detroit-area cancer doctor gets 45 years in prison for fraud
DETROIT – Calling the scheme "horrific," a judge sentenced a Detroit-area cancer doctor to 45 years in prison Friday for collecting millions from insurance companies while poisoning more than 500 patients through needless treatments that wrecked their health.
U.S. District Judge Paul Borman this week heard stories of brittle bones and fried organs as patients chillingly described the effects of excessive chemotherapy at the hands of Dr. Farid Fata.
Fata "shut down whatever compassion he had as a doctor and switched it to making money," Borman said.
Moments earlier, the judge called it a "huge, horrific series of criminal acts."

45 years without the benefit of proper medicine would be more appropriate. If the man has high BP, feed him lots of BP increasing food, etc. Eye for an eye.
Desperate people are very susceptible to all sorts of fraudsters. Clinton opened the gates to quacks when he legitimized non evidence based “alternative medicine” in 1994. Also Chesterton’s adage that when people stop believing in God, they will believe in anything. As America enters the era of neo pagan decadence and hedonism, all sorts of bizarre rituals and practices are becoming common.
Years ago I trained a muslim urologist how to use our prostate ultrasound machine to perform biopsies. He was a piece of shoddy work and skillful as a bull in a china shop. How he got to be a urologist is beyond me.
Years ago there was an oncologist here in Georgia. Origins and medical education of a foreign Caribbean variety....he was arrested for treatment fraud and malpractice.
Seems the chemo drugs he was using was really nothing more than rat poison of the common variety. I don’t know if this is true, but I recall some discussion about it (the rat poison) and pharmaceutical chemo drugs and there really wasn’t that much difference except one was approved by FDA.
The reported fraud was that he’d used the diluted RP and charge for the FDA stuff (big difference).
DISCLAIMER here, this was what I read at the time and heard on talk radio - I have no way of knowing if this was true.

Might be wiser and safer to only go to native-born American doctors for medical treatment. If you can find them.

Fata also gave chemo to cancer patients who were at the end stages of life, where chemo would not help them and only made their last days more miserable. But, hey, they’re just “worthless” infidels, and he needed to bill the government, so he could add to those millions and maintain his mansion in ritzy Oakland Township. Read the Federal Criminal Complaint unsealed yesterday against Dr. Fata.
Medicare fraud run rampant in this country, now just try to imagine what’s going to happen with Obamacare.
