So let me get this straight. The early diagnosis of a terrible form of cancer does not lead to a better outcome for survival? Ummm... Agenda please...

Every time I see a report like this, I become suspicious. Thanks to Obamacare, the number and frequency of certain tests have been reduced with the reasoning they are no longer needed. A report like this is the excuse the insurers need to stop paying. How many diseases will go undetected and ultimately prove fatal as a result?

Coffee is good, coffee is bad.
Wash, rinse, repeat.

I will say the females in this family do NOT do mammograms.

You’re going to die anyway. Why try to stop it?

Why should anyone assume credibility for this type of observational study? It’s just based on data with no experimental design.

Sounds like somebody doesn't want to pay for mammograms.

I got a sense of where this was headed in talking to my urologist, who told me the recommendation to insurers that PSA's were being overused was made by a board that had not a single urologist as a member.

So Sarah Palin was probably wrong after all. There aren't going to be any "death panels" because it isn't ever going to get to the point where a panel would even need to make a decision. That's going to be done by eliminating sensible diagnosis and remediation altogether.

Hey, the Pope's go-to guy on climate change says there are about six billion people too many. I'm sure our betters -- the politicians and the 0.01%'ers -- will do just fine.

If cancer isn’t diagnosed until it’s too advanced to be worth treating, “the system” saves money.

Let's see how correct the "scientists" and "socialologists" have been:

Global cooling will bring another ice age;
Ozone layer is disappearing because of hairspray carbons and will cause massive destruction of the eco-system and millions of deaths;
Over-population will cause millions and millions of deaths;
Pesticides on apples will kill untold millions;
Nurture, not nature, is what make boys and girls different;
The arctic and antarctica are melting;
Polar bears are a dying species;
The Alaskan oil pipeline will kill the caribou;
Sea levels will rise and flood low lying shores and islands;
Climate change is caused by SUVs;
Egg yolks are bad;
Meat is bad;
Milk is bad;
Cheese is bad;
Jogging is good;
Wine has trace elements which are bad;
Sleeping more than 8 hours is bad;
Government exists to help;
The poor need more money;
Capitalism only benefits the rich;
Socialism works.
Any college degree gives opportunity in the workplace;
Illegal aliens are a benefit to our economy;

Need I go on?. Every point above has turned out wrong.

They already cut back on routine PSA testing for prostate cancer.

This is nothing but ObamaCare trying to cut costs by cutting health care.

Anyone that thinks detecting cancer early is useless is just a Luddite idiot.
