I stepped off a train in London one morning and it struck me how many genuine and knock-off Barbour quilted jackets were among the commuter throng. And it made me think about just how commonplace theyve become to the point that theyve diluted their own brand image. By Appointment to Her Majesty has now become By Appointment to Everyone.
Its the same with the Hipster trend. Humans naturally struggle with their own identity so seek to adopt one from a group to feel included. Individuality is lost to conformity.
And thats not necessarily a good thing. Conformity and ubiquity are a dangerous combination.
The same is happening in technology circles. Apple AAPL -0.12% and iOS has become synonymous with smartphones and tablets but has only one product per line of business. Therefore its the same hardware you see people with and its becoming ubiquitous. They are gorgeous products, they work seamlessly (apparently Apple Music), but theyre everywhere. And for me its destroying the perception of brand value and consumer choice.

That wasn’t sarcasm, it was obedience.
Yes, the anti-Apple bigots just don't get it, and will never appreciate Apple equipment because they simply have blinders on and refuse to try Apple.
MS Windows is a misguided boy scout, insisting on dragging you across the street against your will into cross-traffic - even when you wanted to go the other direction. I've worked for years as a Windows admin, constantly rescuing users who were pulling their hair out when Windows misbehaved. That's not the case with the Mac users I've helped; generally they just want a few pointers and are not in need of rescue. Plus I've worked as a Unix admin and can agree with you that OSX is a far better platform than Windows.
Then where is your answer? There were some specific questions to which I requested replies. If you are obeying, where are your replies to those queries?
I know nothing!
Ignorance is curable, Donna. i'm trying to help you cure it.
Apple users apparently are also crybabies....typical of homosexuals.
Your continual fixation on protesting homosexuals is over-the-top, just too much. . . there's a syndrome associated with that having to do with your latent homosexualism. I suggest you look into getting some psychological therapy on coming to terms with your urges.
Coming from an Apple Social Media Troll such as yourself, you ain’t saying much.
Oh, you already knew what I've told you? Good. Get help.
“Get help.”
I’m not the one with the social media troll job and a stiffy for Apple products. You are. Seek professional help.
What version of Windows are the small minority of users that do have that kind of control running?
Read what i wrote. . . not what you wish I had written.
I did. If that CLI gives the Apple users "far more control of their computers than the vast majority of Windows computer users have of their computers", then there must be some small fraction of Windows users that are running something that does give them that level of control.
If you know enough to say the vast majority of Windows users don't have that level of control, then surely you know what the remainder are running that does have it.
You've been told repeatedly that i am not employed in any such job. That makes you a liar to continually repeat that accusation. Liar. Get help for your overwhelming need to post in threads that should not interest you in the least.
90210 iOS Munchausen's Apple-Plexy Syndrome (MAPS), The overwhelming compulsion to post negative, judgmental, aggressive, and false commentary on any website thread related to Apple products wherever found, including phobic reaction to projectedv Apple user euphoria. First and subsequent encounters.
Like Ted Cruz and Rush Limbaugh.
There are always exceptions, but not many with Apple fanboys.
All 800 million of us? You are delusional. . .
Let me clarify: if you physically approached me, instead of hiding behind FRName anonymity, I would gladly kick your candy @$$.
