The hypothetical duo of Cruz and Trump as the GOP ticket. Would never happen because The Donald doesn’t play second fiddle to anyone and Cruz wouldn’t pick someone who would overshadow him, but the thought of those two causing liberal meltdowns on a daily basis is a wonderful thought.

They also have too many overlapping supporters to be on the same ticket as well.

If they team up in debates, they would crush the rest of the clowns.

The thing about Cruz and Trump is the age difference. I'd put the older one on top, and that would give Cruz 16 years to set things right with the US Constitution.

The other thing is diffuse an issue that shouldn't be, but the opposition knows no bounds. That would be Cruz's former US/Canadian dual citizenship.

Also, with Cruz running for VP, it would give him more time to spend on any legal issues thrown at the campaign.

It's a match made in heaven. Trump knows how to stay on topic and not shy away from an argument. He knows how to make successful deals. Cruz knows the law. They're equally intelligent and accomplished, in their fields. Together, they'd suck all the oxygen out of the room!

I wouldn't be so sure. Trump is 69 and Cruz is young, what, early 40s. If Trump's campaign should really take off and he won the primaries, no better thing could happen than to have Cruz as his VP. And it would be the best VP selection Republicans have had in decades. Ted would be a strong contender to win two terms after being VP.

I've been thinking that Ted's positive comments about Trump might mean Ted is thinking along those lines in case Trump should win the primaries.

Rope-a-Dope. Trump is the right hand everyone is paying attention to, Cruz is the left that knocks the media on it’s a$$, and leaves America cheering.

To be a good chess player, you have to be thinking 3-5 moves ahead of your opponent. Cruz is turning out to be an excellent chess player.
