This is hosted by Forrest Sawyer. Is it told from a liberal perspective?
I’ve seen it many times and it seems pretty fair to me.
“This is hosted by Forrest Sawyer. Is it told from a liberal perspective?”
NOPE> I’ve seen the series countless times since I was a kid in canada and it’s more pro America than today’s liberal faggotry. You will also see actors who started in the biz. Check out a very young Philip Seymour Hoffman playing Plum Martin...
The series may not have been told from a liberal perspective, but Sawyer gave it a shot in his introduction:
"...without intending it, they came up with the revolutionary idea...that ordinary people could govern themselves."
"Without intending it"? WTH is Sawyer talking about? Is he saying we just stumbled our way into it with muddled thinking; or, perhaps with fewer pints of beer we could have created something different, better, or even progressive?
Sawyer chooses to overlook the fact Abraham Lincoln would later describe our representative democracy, initiated by the Declaration, attempted with the Articles of Confederation and then perfected with the Constitution, as a "government of the people, by the people, for the people".
