“Andrew Mulholland of HexWar says “basically we need to remove prominent flags from the screenshots” and “don’t have them in the app icon.” The Confederate flag is okay within games, but it appears that it just needs to not be prominent at all in the forward-facing parts of the App Store.”
Dear Mr. Mulholland,
I regret to inform you that as of 6/27/15, your Man Card has been revoked.
(Removing a Confederate flag from a video game about the Civil War? Can it get any stupider?)
For anyone interested- this website offers Confederate Battle Flag merchandise, looks very reasonable. Its Ben Cooter Jones site (of Dukes of Hazzard). I have no association with the site, and have never used it.

The multi-colored “Gay Pride” flag represents to me anti-Christian bigotry, $135K fine and destruction of a Christian bakery’s business, and all kind of “FU” lascivious gestures toward St. Patrick Cathedral during gay pride parades.
Since it offends so many of us, and is a symbol of bigotry, shouldn’t that flag be removed too? The double-standard is sickening.
I don’t care either way about the confederate flag. It does mean a lot to many people in this nation though. Given that it’s such a hurtful symbol to black people, I agree that it shouldn’t fly at government offices. However, when private companies start censoring it, it says more about those companies than it does about the flag.
Apple has shown its “values”, but also its heavy-handed censorship to the extent they can get away with it. The last thing I want to do is increasing its power by purchasing its products. I wouldn’t be surprised if people in the South start making judgments at people who use Apple products, and such products to slow down in sales.
