Jimmy Fallon is in the hospital.
The “Tonight Show” host reportedly checked into a New York City hospital late Thursday. He is reportedly getting treatment in the intensive care unit. This, however, has not been confirmed.
The official “Fallon Tonight” Twitter account tweeted, “Hey guys – unfortunately tonight’s taping has been cancelled due to Jimmy injuring his hand. He’s totally fine but we’ll be airing a repeat. If you had tickets to tonight’s show, we’ll be in contact with you to reschedule your tix.” The account went on to insist Fallon is “okay,” and that fans shouldn’t “worry.”
Earlier Thursday, Fallon taped “The Tonight Show,” and then had dinner at Scalinatella, a restaurant on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. While dining, the late-night host took time to pose for photos with fans. The pictures, later posted on Instagram, show Fallon being his usual goofy self. It’s not clear at what point Fallon became injured and needed medical treatment.
In addition to hosting his NBC series, Fallon has been in the midst of a promo tour for his new children’s book, Dada. The comedian and wife Nancy Juvonen are parents to two daughters, Winnie and Frances, who is called Frannie. Fallon took over “The Tonight Show” from Jay Leno last year.
As Gossip Cop reported, Mark Wahlberg was on Thursday’s episode, and the two stars played a game called “Headshots” in which they threw things at each other’s heads. Now the next new show will likely tape and air on Monday, pending on Fallon’s recovery. Fallon is pictured on the show earlier this week above. Gossip Cop will have updates.
He wouldn't be in the ICU, unless the "hand injury" means "losing the hand", or if the hand injury occurred as the result of a more serious problem.
“Hand injury” often means mob activity.
Maybe he made the mistake of mocking Mrs. Clinton.
ICU...for severe trauma or other injury/illness.

I left elementary long ago so I just dont find that entertaining.

Couldn’t car less. I agree with above poster. I am far too mature to enjoy much of anything that Fallon does.

ICU for a hand injury?????????????????Did surgery 35 years and never had anyone in ICU for a hand injury. I suppose a suppurative cellulitis/fascitis could explain it. I wonder if his insurance is through one of the Federal Exchanges.
Another source, NY Daily News, said he had a ‘fall’ of some sort.
He may have fractured a lot of bones in his hand, maybe even open compound fracture...........
We send people home with a cast or a brace. If the fracture is displaced, then open reduction and fixation may be required, although most can be delt with by piniing percutaneously. If it is an open fracture (compound) with contamination then IV antibiotics may be required, but NOT in the ICU.
He’s a ‘celebrity’ so maybe he gets ‘special’ attention...................
