A nine-year-old boy who has wished he is a girl since he was just two-years-old is preparing to go back to school as a female.
Joseph Hughes, from Rhyl, north Wales, asked for a wig for Christmas and wears a dress when out with mum Sam, 41, as he makes the transition to becoming alter-ego, Ellie-Jo.
The youngster has been playing with Barbie dolls and painting his nails after showing his feminine side as a toddler.
Proud mother-of-six Sam backed little Joseph when he asked for a pink cake and princess toys for his birthday.
She first noticed that Joseph wished to be a girl when he turned his back on playing football with his boy friends in favour of dressing-up with older sister Francesca, 15.
Sam said: 'He's a bright boy and his school grades are all good but he's a real girly-girl and doesn't like football or anything like that.
'Joseph is the one who has made this choice.
'If I'd have dressed him up as a girl from the start then he wouldn't have had a clue - but all this has come from him and I just let him get on with it.
'Some days he'll come home from school and put a dress on, some days it'll be a t-shirt and jeans.
'It's easier for him to dress-up and paint his nails when he's indoors at the moment because he can still get a little embarrassed when someone notices his nails.

Yet more child abuse.
yep, Mom divides her child by the sword she, the Mom, swung
Oh, how “Brave”! </puke>
No mention of any male role model in this sick little family, let alone a dad. Yes, it’s complete and utter child abuse.
Look how young the child is in the youngest pics wearing a dress and tiara. That’s not the boys choice, that’s the mother’s choice and brainwashing.
This is what happens with no father figure around.
Kids need both for different critical reasons.
Mommie is one very sick puppy who should have been “fixed” a long time ago.
This is way too young to be talking about these issues with kids.
Someone who hasn’t yet gone through puberty has no clue about sexual desires, sexual feelings, or sexual identity, in my opinion.
Whatever happens with “trans-whatever” peoples should not happen to children.
Anyone else notice how the “trans” world rely heavily on stereotypes in deciding that a boy should really be a girl, and vice versa???
These issues have been discussed many times on this site. And I lost count of the number of women on this site who have said, that they may have been “tomboy” types, played sports with their brothers, etc. but grew up to be women and identify as women and are happy to be women, and love their husbands, etc. They are heterosexual females in every sense of the word.
Which is not to say that a nine year old who thinks he/she is the opposite sex doesn’t need help. They do need help. But the “help” they are getting seems wrong to me.
Mother induced transgendering. Wonder what her problem is??
Where’s the English equivalent of Child Protective Services? Best abolish them if they can’t even get this right; junior needs to be taken away from that totally unfit excuse of a mother he’s got.
Perverted parenting.
Sounds like mama is the one who wanted a daughter instead. This kid is mentally/emotionally disturbed and needs therapy not encouragement of his sickness.
I love this type of project. Unfortunately, our house was burglarized a couple of months ago and the thieves took some of my vintage computer gear. I am sure that it got chucked in the garbage when they figured out it wasn’t modern equipment. They took an old Timex Sinclair 1000 and supporting peripherals, an old Atari 800 Computer with floppy disk drives and dozens and dozens of old discs and programs.
My TI99/4a computer along with its external expansion box will be missed. Also taken was a TRS-80 computer from Radio Shack along with peripherals. The largest volume of stuff missing was my collection of Commodore 64 items and software. Some of this gear actually goes for good money on eBay these days. I was hoping to play with some of this stuff again one day. Unfortunately, I do not have good documentation for my insurance company and they have not been very supportive.
OOPs had two threads open at the same time... Sorry!
I wish more modern parents realized that when little guys get all dressed up in big sis’s frilly sparkly dress, it’s usually not the *dress* they like, but the BLING. My little boys went through a period when they were about three of putting on sparkly girls’ stuff whenever possible. I bought and made them some sparkly boys’ stuff (pirates and astronauts with bling! LOL!) and they LOVED that and never put on girls’ stuff again. They just want to be fabulous, mostly. Not be girls.
Child abuse is right.
The things the mother did and said from day one must have been way beyond what normal parents could imagine.
What should the punishment be for scrooing up a child for life? Pure evil.
