Love the editing of the scratched out of the word "Dog" and substituted word "Cat" on the award!

These days, male is female, white is black ... why not feline is canine?! LOL!
I remember this episode when it first happened. Kudos to the cat!
(even though I'm a dog person)!

Our cat, self-named Brutus, bosses our two dogs. They seem to worship her.

...Tara the cat fought off a dog that attacked her 6-year-old owner...Slight error there. Tara the cat fought off a dog that attacked the junior member of her staff. One always needs to protect and defend their property.

That was very fair of them, this kitty most certainly deserved an award for its brave actions. I bet the ceremony was not what they were used to, though!

Interviewed after her heroic actions, Tara proclaimed she's always self-identified as a protective canine & not even sure if her parents were feline.
Says she will use this moment to encourage others like her to be their true self, don't be deterred by the naysayers.
Tara truly deserves Hero Dog Award. ...Congratulations.

If I remember correctly, the cat was a stray who followed them home. At first they tried the “ignore it and it will go away” approach. After a few days, it was obvious the cat wasn’t going anywhere, so they adopted it.

Our little one Petey, and our eleven year old Tiggy look a lot like Tara. I do believe it runs in the blood of those tiggerish looking cats to be aggressive in the defense of their peoples. I believe either one of the two would have made a grinder out of that dog had they been there.

As a dog lover, I applaud the cat. I will give it it’s due. It really did save this little guy from this dog.
It was probably acting out because it had a strong sense of territory. Hopefully people don’t ever expect this cat, or any other, to ever do it again. It was an anomaly.
